  1. Pasting the link in a browser just has a page with 'The file you requested could not be found And the embedded radionomy player preview had no sound while playing. I'm thinking Mixxx is the problem then.
  2. I'm running Mixxx through Shoutcast to my room. I think the number of times it's connected immediately in the past two months was maybe once. Sometimes I have to keep clicking 'Play' or clicking Turn Off and Play again to eventually get audio. Sometimes I don't get audio until I rejoin my room. At the moment, nothing is working. No solution has ever reliably worked, so I'm wondering where the issue is. Is it 3DX, Shoutcast, or Mixxx? Does anyone know of a way to test my shoutcast stream link other than entering it in 3DX? Any recommendation for a better or more reliable combination of tools to use for DJ?
  3. A team of 2 running a multiplayer game that functions 99% of the time is hardly incompetent.
  4. To clarify, I program professionally in Unity and can estimate pretty well how a given feature will be added to a game. Personally, if I were running this team, I would find ways to be more transparent and communicative to minimize the expectation gap between players' expectations and reality. They are not doing the best they can, as far as I can tell. Two reasonably capable devs with the ability to create what has been created thus far should also be able to create more on a regular basis. That being said, player entitlement is games is a plague in the way vocal communities attempt to stir up drama and hate over not receiving what they want when they want it, without having any concept of what it takes to create a feature other than a gut feeling. "It's so easy," says the person who's never developed so much as a playable prototype, let alone released or maintained a game. They are doing things and the game is running, so it's worth what you're paying, just like it was worth it 30 features ago. If the devs did something nice and offered a poll on which feature players would like to see next, the players would vote, and they would probably expect the top option to be the one implemented. But importantly, they're not entitled to that unless it's specifically what was promised. If option #4 is the one that's released next, maybe it was technically easier/faster, maybe it was safer for gameplay or better designed, or in the case of a very small team, maybe it's just the one they felt motivated or excited or confident in implementing. For all you know, they spent hours in meetings designing multiple options or arguing over designs or which feature to choose or how best to implement it until they (the experts) arrived at what they deemed was the best solution. Maybe they were wrong. But they're still the developers, and your complaints and threats to leave are just noise. If you believe you know better than the experts, congratulations, Unity Engine is extremely accessible to the public, and you can go make a better version of this entire game. And you can include a solemn promise on your front page to crank out new content on a regular basis with your own tiny super dev team. The bottom line is that starting a player riot on the forums isn't going to do anything positive. Consider a public poll of fellow players and a polite request for an explanation from the devs. Or just message them directly, instead of parading around the store demanding to speak to the manager.
  5. They can already just get a second account, which is allowed. So, while technically nobody likes the people you mentioned, they're still allowed to pay and play. If this system also benefits them, that can't really be helped. But not having the integrated multiplaying system doesn't stop them from doing it and the extra expense is nothing relative to their motivation to be shitty. But you would still have the default option. How are you actually affected by higher levels?
  6. You think "lower graphics" is something the player does which takes no extra work on the developer's side? The game engine still has to swap to another model of lower detail which does have to be made. The "option" to lower graphics does not save work. And Alivia made a literal ring, not an actual piercing like what THX posted. And no, a 30-polygon ring or torus (which is not a cylinder in any way) would definitely look shittier than a texture. But the math really isn't important. This is a preview of a work in progress. How many piercing presets and options will there be? We don't know, yet we're complaining. Sure, the devs could definitely release things faster than they are, but for whatever reason, they aren't. You're paying to use existing features. If you get something new, be grateful, cause you're entitled to nothing more than what already exists. If the textured rings are such low quality that your experience is ruined by them, there are a couple of elegant solutions for you, the player: a) don't use them, b) don't zoom in that close. Ta da.
  7. I would hope I don't need separate accounts, since I'm also paying to create a secondary character on the main account. Although I guess it's not paying for the extra server space to connect at the same time. Would be nice to have an option on the character menu for each character to "stay logged in when switching characters". Then it just leaves the non-active avatars wherever they were. Then a dropdown near the top to switch to another currently logged in character. If possible @Gizmo, maybe create a higher subscription level that allows for more characters to be logged in at the same time? Mainly because I don't want to bother with new emails, passwords, or even game clients to play multiple characters. Non-sale 6 month rates $10/m for 1 character at once $15/m for 3 characters at once $30/m for 8 characters at once
  8. First, the areola should definitely slide separately from the nipple, yes. Second, the players complaining about rings not being modeled should consider some things. The below image is a torus (ring). It's extremely easy to model. You're right about that. But to achieve geometry that actually looks round, each ring could easily be 150-300 polygons, while the "painted" version is between 0-2. Many small details on models are done with normal mapping, which creates the illusion of depth and shadow without actually adding any additional geometry. This is good because additional polygons can add rendering time, and from most angles you can't tell the difference. This is a square (2triangles/polygons). The holes aren't modeled. Will a pair of 300-poly nipple rings on 30 people in the same shot add 18,000 polys to the scene? Not necessarily. It's common to swap out models based on the camera's distance (known as LOD, level of detail), so from a long distance, the nipple rings might just be reduced to textures/squares or removed altogether. Player avatars are probably close to 100k up close, s Last thing, you're getting a new feature, which requires some amount of coding and art time, including different ring options, nipple textures, etc, in addition to the code necessary to make them work. Maybe they can afford to do more right now, and maybe they can't. But you're complaining over one static preview image that, for all we know, might already be of a 3D ring. For comparison, the jewelry in-game captures light correctly while in motion and it's not modeled, it's just a normal map on a couple of quads. To model this would be an enormous number of polygons. So while a simple ring might be 300, if they released bars with spiders on the ends or a dragon head, you could end up with a 2,000 polygon piece on each nipple. If that is their goal, then for consistency it might make more sense to bake them all into textures with normal maps. It's fine to complain but don't attack the devs or suggest they don't care or aren't delivering enough.
  9. From what I've read this used to be possible. And nothing in the site's rules suggests it's not allowed. Is there a way to log in with 2+ characters?
  10. I've had success with 187, 234, 255 for my ghost and vamp skins. Just enough blue to cancel out the red.
  11. Or maybe it's the counter-jinx.
  12. I don't know what's causing this bug, but please make it a feature. Dance #25, ladies and gentlemen. SpinningHeadBug.mp4
  13. Boosting actually has benefit now. If filters and sorting are added, it could take place in a general section below the Boosted rooms so that those are never hidden. But my suggestion several weeks ago was for boosting to put the room in a boosted section at the top for about 15 mins. I really think sorting by type of room would be more useful than population. If I want to dance, I'm going to a club room even if the only room open has 6 people. Same thing if I'm just in the mood for colds. Maybe make the room menu wider, 4 columns, one for each type of room. Also means less scrolling. Example:
  14. I would suggest color-coding the rooms by an owner-designated room type. It won't interfere with the sorting but will make it easier to find what you want. Alternatively, add filter buttons for each major type. If your room type is Club, it's green. If it's Sex, it's pink. If it's Games, it's yellow. If it's Roleplay, it's blue. All others are white.
  15. My version of the mushroom door could also use improvement. And ideally the mushroom-shaped hallway behind it, but I'm afraid that might require tedious sculpting.
  16. Reference is unfortunately limited to the film footage and behind the scenes glimpses. And this small cache of nice set photos.
  17. 25:14 26:09 The ceiling is curved and full of archways. I don't think any of the existing macro pieces will help me much and I'm dreading trying to "hand-carve" them by placing and rotating dozens of small pieces. Since it's the ceiling, maybe I should just approximate the shape and focus on other details? Any experienced builders have tips? I've already done the first couple of rooms but they had simpler geometry.
  18. This wasn't working yesterday with my room. Has it been fixed?
  19. For flexibility and reduced system complexity (game design), enabling penis or vagina options on both sexes and just keeping two sexes. The only benefit to making one or two other body configurations would be for those players to commit to permanence/authenticity (requiring them to spend 10,000 gold to also make a fully female avatar). I think either approach is a good idea. Either way, restrict it to the Character Editor. NO MORE spontaneous dongs.
  20. Never mind. I misunderstood the thread. It does make sense to keep futas and women separate.
  21. A pre-transition trans female would be a male avatar who identifies as female. A transitioned trans female would be a female avatar who identifies as female. In other words, we already have transgender avatars.
  22. To implement every feature in the Easy list could take an estimated 34 days (6.8 work weeks), while implementing every feature in the Difficult list could take an estimated 217 days (43.4 work weeks). This assumes Gizmo works full time and there are no other programmers, neither of which we know to be true.

  24. Authenticating logins before allowing sign-ins is one way. If you put a CAPTCHA type test on the login screen, you might shut down this attack altogether. That might be the easiest hot fix. It will inconvenience players, but it will also stop the server crashing (provided you've done it correctly). Since the problem is that the server can't process every request being received, the obvious answer is to stop processing them without authenticating them. For long term, it's best to use some type of middleware solution for protection, like AWS. The only other options are: Have a full-time network programmer who can code proprietary solutions himself Hire a temporary network consultant to either code the solution for you or advise the best approach. If you're doing none of the above things, 3DXChat could be dead within the month.
  25. You're probably right. I hope it fits the devs' business model.
