What the actual fuck ? Please, no. No. No. No. No. Transidentity isn't as straight-forward. Behind the desire to be what we really feel, there are MANY factors hampering the path of the acceptation of our reflect in the mirror. Cultural, social and obviously pragmatical. Following HRT, chirurgical operations, being accepted as a transgender in your familly/town/country it's NOT acquired for every transpersons. You're assuming the final step (vaginoplasty in my case MtF) such as a everyone's goal and a step to validate you as a transexual ? Excuse my french, but you have FUCKING NO IDEA how hard this decision can be. We don't have the same behaviour regarding our private parts, for some it's a matter of life to remove it for others it's not that easy. The results may be devastating in case of disappointment/complications. It's a heavy chirugical operation and every FUCKING transwomen who have done it are BRAVE. It's is Bravery, with a B. Transgender replaced transexual overtime because it's more inclusive. Transgender regroups every persons with transidentity regardless their appearance. Transexual = transgender. But the time changes, words have history and "transexual" may feel pejorative.
