I do not know you Twiggy, but have only ever heard good things of you Twiggy and it's always both sad and maddening to see a well respected community member leave due to bullshit. I am certain you have your reasons for going and it is something we have to respect. I will say, however, that you must try your best to not let the bad eggs and drama llamas get to you because it just shows the kind of people they truly are and you quickly learn who your true friends are. Even though I do not know you I trust you might see fit to come back to us. The community needs all the good members it can get.

I partially agree with Mike on this. While it is not intentioned as a rating system, it's going to turn into one because you have to pick 5 and when you don't pick certain people they might get upset and so on and so forth. I've been around a long time, not as long as the longest players but a good 15 months and I have made friends (a lot of them and some amazing people to boot) and I have seen friends leave and while I haven't had the time to be in game with them... they are all special in their own way and I can't single out 5, 50 perhaps, but not 5. The community as a whole, barring a few unmentionables, is quite diverse and wonderful so expand this to not a number but perhaps a collection of people's thoughts on their friendships and experiences because of these friendships.

It's most certainly a step in the right direction compared to the rather inept and dysfunctional one that was in place. My understanding would be that you see a red ghost only if you ignore one of the two people involved in sexual acts. I am unsure what hilarity would ensue if you ignore both. I am going to give kudos to the developers for finally addressing it. It will never be perfect but it's certainly a large step forward. As with any changes you can keep some people happy some of the time but you can't keep all of the people happy all of the time. Progress is progress

Thought I would give this a test. Results vary. I uninstalled, cleared the Reg keys after exporting them, cleared the registry of SexGameDevil and 3DX keys and entries. Reinstalled and updated using the web download (currently at 260 if I remember) and here we go. Desktop: (4790k/32GB/SSD Raid/GTX980 SLI) - Did not save chat settings. Did not write registry keys. Missing keys. Imported reg settings and it reverted to those but would not update new. Windows 8.1 Pro. Notebook: (4810HQ/16GB/SSD Raid/GTX880M) - Did not save chat settings. Did not write registry keys. Missing keys. Imported reg settings and it reverted to those but would not update new. Same as Desktop. Windows 10 Technical Preview / Windows 8.1 Dual Boot. MBP15Retina (i7 @ 2.5GHz/16GB/512MB SSD/GTX750) - Did save chat settings. Did write registry keys. Windows 8.1 Pro N Volume License on Bootcamp (Work machine). That was my experience with the 268 update so far. Notebook was a fresh install on both 10TP and 8.1.

I run mine on a Retina MacBook Pro 15" Late 2014 using Bootcamp. Bootcamp uses a far friendlier driver that works better with 3DX and also places 3DX in a native environment as, unlike parallels, Bootcamp is not a virtual instance but a hard boot loader that splits your drive into a partition. All Macs have the Bootcamp assistant. Try it out instead if parallels or the PlayOnMac emulator. Bootcamp 5.1 is compatible with Windows 7, 8 and 8.1 and the next update will add basic support for the 10 Technical Preview. Works blindingly fast on the SSD too. Otherwise I use my MSI gaming notebook when not near my desktop

There are a few types of users on the Internet and this is ostensibly true of every corner of the Internet. 1. The Troll: this type of user does what they want, how they want and when they want to get a rise/response/thrill out of being an absolute tool be it forum threads that pick fights or extract a riled up response that feeds them and their ego. The also tend to be fully willing to impersonate a user, lie, fake or otherwise tarnish your name or others experience. They do this as they generally get away with it. 2. The Escapist: These people use the Internet in whatever form to escape for brief periods into a "happy place" that gives them pause from their real life and allows them to be more expressive, less shy, make friends, or go into a bubble of sorts for a while. They are mostly harmless and actually are good people except when their activity takes on a troll like aspect. They can also be their real selves but you would not know unless told. 3. The Roleplayer: They are similar to an escapist but in a way different, as they use the Internet to escape BUT become totally different in that no aspect of who they are leaks into their online persona. A Male could be a Female and vise versa. They appear almost as if they are split personalities, totally different people, and they will always be "in character" portraying that which they are not. Also harmless and generally good unless they elevate this to trolling. 4. The Realist: This person quite simply does not troll, does not Roleplay and who they are in life is who they are online. They are either good, or bad or in between but can still be a troll. 5. The Hybrid: This user is a mix of any of the above and can be any mix, literally. I feel quite simply that we have every one of these personalities within 3DX and it is something we have to deal with and adjust to. No world, no community, is perfect and you will ALWAYS get assholes that thrive on causing pain, suffering and trouble just because they get a thrill out of it to brighten what is likely a sad and lonely existence or they get off on it because they are actually cowards but very brave when behind a keyboard. Opening it up publicly is an intrinsic part of what they want. They feed off the limelight and the fact they are getting to you. They love to know they are causing issues and problems, sitting in their dingy little basements. I say the words I do to challenge you trouble makers to actually grow a pair and out yourselves and prove me wrong, but you won't because you are just that, cowardly. Regardless, I think there are far fewer liars than is made out here, but there are still a lot of them. However public outcry won't solve anything. Screenshot, Report, Ignore and move on. That likely will not be resolved (the success rate is staggeringly shit and the system overall is ineffectual at best) but it's your current best recourse. The Internet is a wild place filled with a wide variety of users. Unfortunately you have to get used to it when going online. Just my 54cents

The same arguments continue to rear up and as I have said before there are a sect of men that literally would come here naked, a sect that come here not just for the sex, and those that come here as women (sorry gents, sad but true, you are a dude playing a woman and I don't mean the transgenders, I mean the heterosexual men coming in as women ) There are some guys that would like a more expansive wardrobe. RLC is the best example. The men have so much choice it would make the ladies jealous please don't lump all the gents together, some of us want the option to look different and look good.
