Ok quick update. I have been waiting for snail mail and having a bad feeling something was wrong. I lost or never received my account number required to log in online beyond making initial claim. Everyone seems to be stressing out and its not helping. I saw the current pricing and discounts for 6 month and yearly memberships and they are extremely reasonable. With recent DDOS attacks Gizmo and Lisa are under extreme pressure and end result begins effecting other areas like chat bans. A 48 hr ban is nothing. It's not really even a ban its a slap on the hand but still we need some communications on what is and isnt allowed or else there will be alot of resentment with customers and that's not good either. Now. Do they offer a money back garunty after 6 months or 3 months. To be quite honest I don't think I've ever been booted so what makes you so certain its on their end. You seem to be painting everything as black or white for the sake of arguing. There are many types of denial of service attacks but the most common is the repeated request flooding a server with more requests than it can handle. The attacker will have one program finding new anonymous proxy servers at the same time he is performing the attack because they too will quickly start to fail as their own security kicks in. Fail2ban is the most awesome free program out there. You make a rule say (3 failed attempt in 5 minutes) and anyone violates that rule their IP is banned for x amount of time. Repeat offenders perma ban. Cloud flare does a great job limiting an attacker to their own private cache but this doesn't work on live game play. The best security is multiple layers of defense.

Your attacker will be using proxy servers most will originate from China. You may be able to get some temporary relief blocking complete ISP's manually. For example a log shows 123.456.678.901 as an offender you can block the whole ISP by blocking 123.456.0.0/16

For DDOS attacks you cant beat a program called fail2ban You make a server rule somebody breaks the rule example (3 login errors in 15 minutes) they get banned for as long as you predetermined, repeat offenders also get special treatment plus you get a handy little email containing all of their info.
