  1. Happy New Year guys, wishing you all the best for 2015. And have a great evening seeing the new year in.
  2. I LOVE to see local chat being used, whether for banter, roleplay or anything else that is fun and with good intentions. Well done Nikki, this game could do with more open communication.

  5. Oh go on then, anything for you Staci. No pressure indeed! This is certainly not poetry though, more a collection of random thoughts and ravings whilst taking the dog its walk beside the river this morning: In the decaying half-light of an early morning chore. On the turn from night to day, sleeping to waking, summer turning to fall.I pause on my walk through the fields, at the river.Cold comfort blanket of mist on bare legs, and I shiver. No sun, no moon, no stars in the shadow of the mountains, just the mist and the river and I.I take a moment to close my eyes, sink, detach, connect, relax... mind soars high. Thoughts appear like a patchwork of white clouds across the blue, then drift away, old giving way to new... ...the ever running water, like a tiny thread unravelling in the fabric of a universerushing headlong towards maximum entropy. Am I unravelling too? ..search...connect...the deep thrum of my heart in my chest, the roar of blood, so big, so powerful, why have I never noticed that before? ...a whisper of a breeze brushes against my face, flirting with me as it passes. I feel the earth beneath my feet and I send down roots into the ground. I dream I feel the world turning, hurtling through time and space, and all at once I am both lost and found. Then a SPLASH (a fish? a seal?) like a cymbal crash, a commotion, a row, in the background beat of the new day, pulling me back to the real and the now.
  6. Wonderful stuff.Thank you for sharing this. Poetry...now let me think...
  7. Sure, making others think you are someone you are not is creepy. Myself, I wish to remain anonymous in the public domain for my own good reasons. I started out using this recent pic of me as my profile pic: The Monty Python "Reg Gumby" character I now use as my profile pic is of course an improvement though is not me, and is some sort of 1960's comedy stereotype for a middle-age, working-class englishman. Yes I have a strange sense of humour. Oh if only I could be more like Reg...
  8. Apart from my name, I play myself. My in-game profile description says a lot about me and my background.
  9. My own name was taken. Jensen happens to be the name of my neighbours dog! (Jensen is a huge German Shepherd).
  10. I've posted this before - it would not be out of place as the guys "dance 5"
  11. My experience is exactly like MikeyZA says above, and I can add the following. Meeting people, my personal etiquette (which has not been that successful I must admit! any suggestions for improvement?) is to say Hi to a girl to make the contact. Usually get a Hi back in response. I then leave it at that, so that I'm not being a pest to someone who does not want to chat. One time in twenty, maybe less, It progresses into an amazing conversation with a great person that can last for hours. And these rarely develop into anything further, which would be good though I don't push that. I've said this before, I see that it is the guys (especially new guys) who have to work so hard to make relationships here, and get turned down so many times in the ways discussed above (personal experience) it could be disheartening. Though the very few times you find someone you have a connection with, makes it worthwhile. I reckon you could develop a "guys guide to flirting" from all the experiences here. What to do, and what not to do.

    BBC

Certainly don't want to start anything contentious here though I must have my say.The first time I came across the acronym BBC was in this game, so I even had to ask someone what it meant, and I was surprised at the answer. Even so, I had a little laugh, and thought such things as, well, whatever turns you on. Then I notice some guys in the game proudly stating BBC. Then I notice some girls in their profile saying such as "sorry guys, BBC only". And in any list of user rooms, there is always one proclaiming BBC. The last straw came yesterday when I saw a user room called "BBC only". An oxford english dictionary definition of racism is: "The belief that all members of each race possess characteristics, abilities, or qualities specific to that race, especially so as to distinguish it as inferior or superior to another race or races:" (http://www.oxforddictionaries.com/definition/english/racism) The current BBC element in this game is clearly racist given the above definition, an attack on white male sexuality, and more serious than the use of the "N" word in my opinion.
  17. Intimate. Acceptance of a slow dance shows that your partner is definitely interested.
  18. Yes please. Will be interesting to see what we could do for cyberpunk themed costumes.
  19. Exactly the same. Maybe even the same girl.
  20. First time I've seen or noticed pony heel shoes, and oh my, wow (dreams of fun with girls in pony heel shoes....). I like.
  21. Hello Doll, thanks for your response and I agree with everything you said. Trying not to get too deep into this philosophical stuff now, though, to explain myself (and against my better judgement). - I deliberately said "practically alone". This means, even if there is other life in the universe, we will never ever know (and I could qualify this claim further). So to all practical purposes, as a living planet, we are alone. The statistical possibility of other life is just a theory, not a proof. - My spiritually uplifting message is that what we have on earth is so so precious, so rare, so amazing, never take yours eyes off that. And we are certainly not alone here, what with 7 billion people and rising. - Having a need then to only find spiritual uplift and comfort by faith in other entities being out there, is getting into the realms of religion or fantasy and I am certainly not going to pull that thread further here. My views.
