This is the best response ever for "T" https://youtu.be/Lzx4uF4I0ps?t=72
  2. not to be rude or anything, but did you do any research on raising chickens before getting some? chickens are not fragile creatures that need people to look after them; they've developed over millenia, and have not only survived, but flourished without human intervention... they have plenty of feathers to provide them with warmth, and on colder days will huddle together... heaters and such are not necessary... the waterers keep freezing over? welcome to the real world... if they freeze over you bring them fresh water that is not frozen; that's how it goes if you want to raise chickens... i give then warm water, and by warm i mean testing the baby bath water with your elbow warm, in the morning and before i go to bed... if they don't like to walk in the snow it is because they are just like any other creature: some will do it, and some won't... i have chickens that have no problem walking about in 6" of snow at 15 degrees F, and others that won't leave the coop in 1" when it is 30F, go figure... if you want them out in the snow, throw out some corn; as soon as one starts pecking at it, the rest will follow...
  3. I had the flash problem with the silver ring on the frying pan handle (first pic) because it is a rather small item made from four parts... it took quite a bit of fiddling around to get the zoom tight enough to see that the parts were actually not attached to each other... after that, i had the flash when it was on my stove top, which i believe was because ot the reflective properties of the small ring being so close to the highly reflective stove top... when i rotated it so the handle was over the counter top (second pic), the flash disappeared... I am really grateful to Xanar for posting his World Editor videos on YT because there is a slew of information that the newbs like myself would not have known about (like the hand thing), and the trial and error method I resorted to to teach myself is extremely frustrating (like figuring out global/local, which I eventually did)... one of the things I have noticed is the people that have the most experience building things, tend to keep that knowledge to themselves, and many seem to have no time, desire or willingness to help the beginner like myself, so I suppose the newbs have to band together and share what we have learned with each other... anyway< I hope everything works out for you <3
  4. Here is the country retreat I built the tractor as a prop for... now that i have two houses i don't think I'll be building anything else, although i do need to plant more trees and bushes in the back along the hills... sorry about the dirty dishes in the sink, but i was just too lazy to wash them by the way, the white between the logs is called "chinking" and is meant to prevent drafts inside the living areas, which is why it does not extend all the way to the ends of the logs...
  5. Not a "mistake" per se... as Llavia suggested, it could be from the light reflecting off small objects, or when you have many very small complex objects... that being said however, i have many very small objects in my places and have not much of a problem with the flashing effect... i have noticed that it tends to increase when there are very shiny reflective surfaces next to each other, especially with smaller objects, and when the intensity of the light increases... i have also noticed it when items are poorly fitted to each other, and when they are very close to each other without quite touching... surprisingly, or perhaps not, i have noticed the flash on some of the furniture and items the game provides, like the glass dining room table with the hideous "art" objects on it, the legs of the music player, and the tall thin lamps if they are in front of rounded surfaces or near a strong light source which lends credence to what Llavia said about the video card trying to figure out what object it is supposed to be rendering... I have also noticed that the flash can disappear by changing the distance and the angle that you view the object from which would also support the idea of the video card rendering issue... things I have done to minimize the flash have included using a mix of textures when possible, moving objects closer or further from each other, moving objects in relation to a nearby light source, and fitting things very precisely, the last being very tedious and time-consuming, not to mention frustrating... I don't profess to be an expert on the subject as I have only been building things for about a month, but I would recommend watching the series of 3dx videos posted on YT by Xanar which are a huge help.... here is a link to the first in that series he does address an extreme example of what can happen with glass objects... Hope this helps <3
  6. someone asked for more detailed pics of my tractor, and asked about the rubbery look on the tires etc. the rubber look is attained by using solid colors, top row far right, then using black as the color... hope that helps anyone else that may be interested.

  10. Basic room that i did for a friend... the poles out front are now stripper poles lol... had to make the nightstands because there were no small tables to match the bed
  11. I did this with Windows Paint... took about 30 seconds and I'm slow... open pic, import second pic, resize second pic and place where you want it, save...
  12. this is my old #2, same furniture and layout as it was, just a few mods like more windows, which is incorporated into my new 3dx house... and there was room to add a kitchen to the existing floorplan without making it any bigger
