    I want to thank everyone who celebrated our party, it was an incredible night, nice with good music, good people and lots of fun. [10] Wigan Casino had a much larger capacity than many competing clubs and promoted its events from 02:00 until 08:00. There was a regular list of DJs, including Russ Winstanley. In 1976, the club had a membership of 100 thousand people, and in 1978, was chosen the number one discotheque of the world by the American magazine Billboard. This was during the heyday of Studio 54 in New York. At the end of the 1970s, the club had its own label, Casino Classics. There were clubs that were far cooler than Wigan Casino.
