Things Not (Inherently) Sexual About Me;

Hi, there will be no (well, less...) smut in this section I'm afraid. Like I've said to every lover I've had; "go further down if you want the really naughty stuff." So ummm... here goes.... I'm a funeral director and embalmer by profession. I actually love my job but, dealing with A LOT of awful, gruesome, painful things in RL, I need this place to be my escape from all that seriousness and reality. Being a "morally upstanding" member of a small-ish community now, means I also need this place to get out some of my more "creative" needs and fancies mentioned below....lol. Other than work, I'm also an avid ballet dancer (which makes very flexible...*wink*) and sometimes musician.

Basically I've two magazine subscriptions; Pointe, and Dodge Chemicals, so even if you don't want to "get to know" me (*sad pout*,) you might need help with your balloné or advise on desquamation. Well if so I'm your girl. I (sorta) do hear how weird I must sound (and I guess I sort of am but...) I'd prefer you thought of me as interesting? And yes, though the piercings are mostly gone because of work, some might still consider me a bit of a goth chick weirdo...

Other loves are books and music, and with neither of them can I figure out what makes me like them. Definitely "uniqueness" in either does something for me, as does "rawness", but both those descriptors still feel cheap. I've always held a special place for a lot of classic books & plays but also some lots of absolutely shlock pulp romance, erotica, sci-fi, and paranormal novels too embarrassing to list. Ever since I was like 15, right up to him passing away, I had the biggest crush on Leonard Cohen and how he wrote these beautiful songs & poems about the women he met. 

In a previous career/life I was a also a studio musician and sound technician, so music I'm a little more discerning with; you know those five songs they're playing ad nauseum on the radio/tv at the moment (whenever you're reading this)? I most likely don't like them. Apart from Leonard Cohen, I love Tom Waits, but also an eclectic mix of other music. Obviously, through ballet, I've developed a strong attachment to classical music. I also love me some string-band country, folk, and old school industrial, swing, nastier electronically, cabaret, punk and really enjoy a good silly song about platypuses (platypods? platypy?) or something nice to slit your wrists too...

Generally the things I like are either extremely light, dark, or both simultaneously. Might be that "I have a fire that burns so bright" I need things to be intense... Or might just be a bi-polar disorder. Dunno.

Wearing black. (It's why I became a funeral director...Lol)

Dirty Pictures. (no, really...)

Good art (Used to love painting and photography, never seem to have the time anymore)

Cats. (Big dopey grin, lost in a thought)

My Piano & my guitar. (I've got great finger dexterity)

Self-deprecation. (But it goes both ways, figure if I can make fun of myself, it would be in-egalitarian of me to paint others with a different brush.)

I want this place to be about letting my darkest, sluttiest, and sometimes just downright bizarre self loose.
