Gizmo could add the way they did it on Red Light Center... you could create a free account and walk around as long as you wanted, chat and dance but your avatar couldn't get naked or use the sex pose menus, build houses etc. That way, they could walk around and check rooms, see other players do their thing but if they wanted to do the sex poses or design something, they needed to subscribe. The only problem is that you have to accompany such free accounts... on rlc there was staff that spent their day/evening in the public places to guide those newcomers, else all the 'greenies' just create a lot of frustration to themselves and to the players that pay their subscription.

Hi there, I ran into this problem recently, designing an island bungalow... never had this kind of problem before... When I move my mouse, at some point suddenly my image turns negative black and white, when I move my mouse just a millimeter, it disappears. I deleted all light sources in the house, but that doesn't change anything. I think it has something to do with the sunlight and maybe reflections on the glass windows (that I use a lot) I chose sundown, so light of the sun is very low. Here's some screenshots with normal and bad angles... Anybody has an idea how to remedy this ? Thanks in advance ! Layla

Hi Aliviax, I'm not negative, just realistic. There is progress indeed, but it is so slow that my kid will have kids by the time we get what is on the worklist In the mean while, I talked with a programmer that works for Red Light Center's new platform Oasis. He told me both Second Life and Oasis development teams are working around the clock to bring out their new 64bits platform by the end of the year. So maybe it's time for a change ?

Count me out for this one Aliviax ! The number of times we had this kind of polls and pages and pages of examples and what do we get ? After three years and a room editor, we got a couple of extra poses, almost no clothing and a few hairstyles, most of them not half the quality of the first items they made at the very start. As for the tattoos and piercing... I'm afraid you're asking there for an extra layer, which is even more complicated I guess. So keep on dreaming If they (they being just Gizmo and Lisa, if it's not one single person...) don't know yet what most players want now, they will probably never know... so no need to redo what has been done a dozen times, I'm sorry.

Think I am the Annoyed / Amused subtype... It was fun reading but in the end, I was stolen a couple of minutes of my life without it leading to anything...

Personally I find more important what he tells me first in chat and how he approaches rather than his looks. Example: yesterday I met a guy at Fresco's who's first lines were: "Hi, I'm a little horny Have you seen my pic on my profile ?" referring to a picture of a huge cock... (I doubt it was his, but it was definitely huge ) Even the best looks can't make up for this kind of idiotic statement...

Aliviax, I appreciate your proposals, but it has been done so many times before with even hundreds of pictures and more and the result is that we have this miserable bunch of clothing stuff that doesn't evolve since two years. The stuff they added recently is clearly of lesser quality than the first things, so I suspect their development team was reduced to a minimum of 1 or 2 and clothing designer expert(s) left. This game is full of potential but it needs a team (and thus money) to develop clothing, avatars, poses etc. After the experience of the last two years, I think that will only be possible in 10-15 years...

I see three huge messages from the same person. Yes Anong I understand that you don't like the actual animation, but... - not even 30 people have voted so far, which proves it isn't considered a huge problem by most of us - like Anaganda said, the old spermshot looked like a garden sprinkler... how much realism is that for you ? I think that there is improvement in the new way it is presented, but it definitely isn't perfect yet. I have no idea if it is easy to program this kind of animation, but when shot inside, cum shouldn't leave at the back but drip out the entry eventually and when shot on your face or feet it should spray... a little. I think the main problem is visibility. And not to forget, personal preference: some people in here like many and huge cumshots, others prefer a more realistic approach. Both are difficult to unite in one animation, my guess.

Gizmo should take a look at the possibilities the old game "RLC" offered years ago already... If RLC could do it years ago, why not Gizmo ? Rooms could be ordered according to different choices like the actual population or the theme (dance, discovery, chat, music, sex, brothel, ...) There was an option to add a room to a player's 'favourite rooms' list, so he/she could find it back easily. But then again, I think that the real problem isn't that it can't be done, the problem is manpower... you need a team to develop all this and development crew of 3DX seems to be one or two persons max...

I asked our IT guy at the club... I think everybody forgets one thing: a server can't be hired for two days a week, you use it for a period on a 24/7 basis, for probably a month minimum or one year. So it's pretty much impossible to propose a test server on a two days per week basis Coming from rlc where free accounts are admitted with limited functionality, I would say that the fact that free accounts can't have sex but only see others "busy" is one of the main incentives to sign up for a payable account...

I really don't see the point in having this poll... it only adds another round of throwing mud and durt while launching another hate campaign ! You should all be ashamed of yourselves ! Grow up !

My experience is that this is not the first time that it happens. But it shouldn't let you lose all the work you've done if you save it to your local harddrive before you try to push it to the 3dx server. Anyway, I think it is good practise always to save your work to your local drive first before pushing it to 3dx. That way, as soon as the connection is reestablished again, you can load and push the file you saved locally to 3dx.

I love the long waiting times between updates, so you really have time to learn how to use each new piece thoroughly

I really don't see the point in having a 'dislike' button on forum messages, it's just a messaging board where people can share stuff or ask questions no ? It is a real pity there's so much abusive talk and arguments in here. I propose that those people go play Counter Strike... it's free and it's actually fun to hear the reactions of some men, when you open your mike and they hear they just got shot by a woman
