MeiLing
Dear Gizmo, Unity has made a major change back in 2017. It means that older computers have issues with the new Unity 5, because manufacturers don't support anymore the old GPU. There has been several topics about this. Not all your customers have the mean or the need to change their old laptop (mine works fine, no reason to change it.).I have found months ago this post in the Unity Blog @ https://blogs.unity3d.com/2017/07/10/deprecating-directx-9/ Here is a the picture: Please could you tell us if it would be possible to check this line? I know that you care for your customers. I thank you in advance for your kind answer Kiss MeiLing PS: I am stubborn.. never say die Rob., Aliviax, RidgeRet and 6 others

Coldheart
Is there any way you can simplify what this post is saying, because I don’t know diddly squat about 3D on a computer and didn’t understand what you are trying to say here. I have an older computer too, so I am going to guess whatever you are talking about does apply to me, even if I have no idea what it is. Thanks in advance. MeiLing
And obviouly, dear, allowing open GL for older GPU would be a good thing...
rhet
Windows XP went end-of-life in 2014. Which means it hasn't had security patches in 5 years. If you're still running that I hope you have identity theft protections in place.
Cassey
I think most GPUs today are compatible with DX11, 12 and that OpenGL because of more recent Windows. I know Nvidia does. I think Windows 7 supports DirectX 11, and is maybe why the GPU people still support it, for now.
MeiLing
Older GPU are not. There is a list of GPU that don't support it. It's a problem that many players have, then if there is solution, it worth a try. here is the complete list of GPU and chipset that don't support Direct X12 http://3dxforum.com/index.php?/topic/5025-sky/?p=230794 Cassey and OLESYA
Coldheart
I run Windows 10 so this topic probably does not apply to that OS?
