Trigger message idea for World editor

Was thinking maybe it be nice if we could get effect trigger, that causes message to be send to avi when they enter area either by local chat or PM by a sorta chat bot like function. This would make it possible to tell visitors to room about things like rules, dress codes or themes of parties without having to try create object texts or have to manually keep saying things over and over again as host.

 

Think would make things easier plus also save many unnecessary objects to try give message by putting it down to one scale object effect that can be put in certain area, perhaps with time interval between triggering or some kind of value adjusts for time or trigger one per avatar or something to prevent from becoming spam factor is someone place it bad spot.

 

EDIT: Maybe PM message would be best, I could see maybe trolls would run back and forth across it just to annoy people without option to room kick anyone yet. If it's given as pm to person triggering it would only annoy themselves.

I would be happy for a Text-tool for the builder, again saving sooo many KB's for something so many use, like in message boards in the entrance of buildings detailing things like youve mentioned.

I totally support the idea and it’s very dumb to have to create our own letters to really write messages.

 

What would be awesome to complete the idea is:

1) An “area” object which displays a message on screen of the player entering the area asKimmy suggested.

That message would be formatted with size, bold, stroke, italic and colors

 

2) A “sign” object on which the message would be visible. Only the letters would be visible so builder would be able to display it anywhere in World. That could be to display a message on a computer, or on a door or a wall, etc...

 

3) A button on which the user would be able to click so a message would be displayed directly on chat in bleu (to differentiate the message from other, like if the room was talking)
