3DX Forum Maleware WARNING!?!??

KYUSS

Recommended Posts

Well, it seems that there is no malware code in the forum engine itself, as far as I see, but somewhere in the forum someone gave a link that was marked by some scanning engines as malicious.

Sorry, but since I'm running my own site, I do not consider Google Safebrowsing as trustworthy protector (long story short - it's simple trash), I always prefer to use multiple scanners. My own antivirus and some direct URL scanners I used also didn't show anything suspicious.

Nevertheless, it's recommended for admins to check and delete fraud (or marked as fraud) link - a link to Discord. Possible location is:

Question: any of you report this are outside of EU?

If yes then I wouldn't worry much. Just have to find the link that directs to a suspicious website or content. The website itself has no such content.

If only EU citizens can see it, then it would mean that this warning is based violating the strict EU regulations in which case defensive legal actions needs to be taken.

Maybe a Sabotage of a competitor?! RLC?! Who knows!? Or is 'double jay' aka 'JJ' now really that, or sooo boooooored atm?! ... Who knows

Not necessarily that was made on purpose. People could give a link and some time later this link was marked as suspicious one for some reasons.

As I said - forum itself contains no malicious code for now, just a post with a link.

Yes that is why if it's a warning for everyone around the world then it's an easy fix.

To be honest I really hate when Google does this. Just because somewhere someone posted a link that leads you to a bad website, they should not mark the website that contains the link. Especially not a community website where people share links. Like that they could mark Facebook every damn day. It's just unfair and hurting the reputation of this website.

I had that before on one of my websites. Took several weeks until Google removed the warning upon my request. It's just nasty.

Yes, that's why I have it disabled.

for whatever reason Microsoft edge browser doesnt give me any warning

Interesting. Maybe windows security settings. I don't have Edge is uninstalled it. Was tricky, have to get in CMD to do it but I'm rid of it. MS still miles away from building a good browser.

Strange. It still has the warning when i visit from my phone but not chrome on my desktop

Yeah there is no danger at all. It's just bad for the website owners because now the rep is fucked. People come here through search engine or whatever reason may see that warning and being gullible run for the hills.

Some of desktop Chrome settings and settings for phone Chrome (if you use it, of course) may not sync across the platforms. Desktop Chrome uses it's own, while phone Chrome uses preferences you set in Google Search App.
