Ok I know this is pointless... yet I have to say it... coming to the forum is really becoming painful...

Past two days I've read things in here that have been boiling my blood, and left me feeling utterly disgusted.

Child pornography, belittling other sexualities... and god knows what else is going on that I have missed...

Maybe some off you get off on stirring attention this way, and I am feeding right into it... I am that stupid.

Everyone has the right to speak his/her own mind... I'm not here to take that away from anyone

but please have some morals, and keep in mind that other people are going to read it too...

Yes I know, some will say, If you don't like it, don't read it.... well I WON'T KNOW HOW DISGUSTING IT IS 'TIL I HAVE... and then it's too late.

THINK TWICE BEFORE YOU WRITE ANYTHING... FOR THE SAKE OF OTHERS !

PS : Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt.

This.

Well said Shanti. There are far too many things being posted lately that are causing so much issue, and we need actual moderation on these forums because right now it's an utter free-for-all.

I agree as well...

We can always avoid hitting the button to read the posts, but its up to us to think about what we post...

Freedom of speech...I know it and live it....the great thing is we can comment one way or another things..

Thanks for the post Shanti....and heck no you are not stupid...

Totally agree. The forums are getting out of hand. People need to read the rules before they start posting.

As far as freedom of speech goes that is all fine but when you start breaking international laws, then freedom of speech goes out the window.

I don't think freedom of speech has much relevance to what we are talking about here.

We need forum moderation seriously.

Shanti , I completely agree with everything you said , I fully share your feelings .Your call is clear to all of us , I 'm 100% sure that most of us are willing to subscribe to these words.

And now for the other, such a situation will always happen , because on this forum will always be people who reject moral principles , laws , etc. When we refused the services of a moderator in this forum, but now I think it's time to bump this topic - forum moderation, because Gizmo and Lisa did not have enough time to cover all the issues that affect us and this game.I think it  should be a group of moderators ( 2-3 people) , because one person can not cover all the amount of information that is present on the forum. We can not solve this problem simply by discussing it and waiting for the reaction of developers. I would also like to know your opinion on this issue , as well as ready if someone of us to be given a moderator.

PS: This is just my opinion , this is not a guide to action  :)

There is some rather rude stuff going on this week on forums. Some uncalled for stuff, some bickering and some downright disgusting writing. .

We always seem to have little personal battles going on between certain users who despise each other. I can tolerate those. They will never go away no matter what game we play. Can't force people to like each other.

Freedom of speech is great and all but one post particular crossed the line of right and wrong in my books. Was disgusting and just uncalled and Gives black eye to community.. The fact it is still up after this much time is a sign we need some moderation. Big time! Can't have people posting garbo like that and getting away with it, or more will start to pop up. I do not think community wants to be associated with that stuff. Devs should have shown their iron fist and swung their ban hammer ASAP!

I agree with you for most the part though, But getting people to comply is a lot harder then just making a post saying "Think before you speak."  If it were that easy the world would be so much better place! It is however a very good start for the forums, and maybe they should put that in big letters at top of every page.

Damn I need more likes

Yes I agree there needs to be some forum moderation and people need to read the rules. We all have opinions and like to share them, but there is a right and wrong way.

that is just  my 2 cents

Child pornography, belittling other sexualities should never be allowed in any forums, Anywhere.  having said that one must be careful what they wish for.  I would be willing to bet my paycheck that some of the same people who are calling for the boards to be heavily modded, Are the same ones who will be complaining 6 months from now that they are being over modded.

While i may be new to these boards, i am not new to message boards and if i have learned one thing, Its that the internet is a very fickle place.   You need to also be very careful who mods what. While some things are cut and dry, there are others that one person may find tacky, etc...  That another doesnt.  I have seen many a Mod get on power trips . I am just playing the devils advocate here and agree with the OP. That garbage shouldn't be allowed.

This is not an again pro mod/anti mod discussion, we've been through that enough already, and we do manage pretty well so far in-game thanks to ignore button (hopefully soon fixed)

But devs need to keep a better eye on forum. So I am not sure this is the right moment to go with irony, especially since we are talking about child pornography and other important matters.

This is what the world sees of our community, and such environnement won't encourage others to join in.

That's what I meant, moderators are needed in the forum, not a word about the game !  :)

I think I apologized enough in the lgbt topic about my opinion. Please don't mix me with that childporn stuff. I think i don't deserve that. That's really not the same weight stuff.

Ok ... I agree with everything Shanti said ....

though i probably don't read everything ... so i might miss some of what is causing an issues.

I am SURPRISED  that we have little or no forum moderators  ... i mean ... what on earth .... virtually all game developers have some sort of forum moderator even if its a voluntary community group that is carefully selected.  The rules and policy would still be created by the devs  so the moderators just enforce it ... but there needs to be calm and fairness by any moderator.

Agreed

Forums are mess in more than one way...

Good people leaving forums slowly .... I don't even want to check it anymore its just spam, vulgar mess with no moderation....

I pretty much gave up... I still help people in technical forums with rochi since admins won't do it but as for doing topics - bug reports or helping community as whole.... who cares? it get lost anyway...
