For some reason when I am in game anywhere the music becomes garbled and scratchy , freezing the game, I was informed it was my internet connection but I have tried several internet connections and it still does this. Also game tends to freeze on me alot. I am not smart when it comes to technical stuff but is there a way to fix this thats not too complicated? Thank you for any and all help.

Carrie, are you saying that you play for a while and, suddenly, the game freezes?  Or are you saying that whenever you hear music, it freezes?

Here is a way to investigate what may be happening.

If you're on Windows, when playing the game, hit Ctrl-Alt-Delete and select "Task manager."  On the bottom left corner of Task Manager, there's a circular button that says "More Details."  Click it.   Then, across the top it will show percentages for CPU, Memory, Disk, and Network (and maybe GPU).

When the game freezes, are any of those percentages extremely high?  (I'm guessing Memory or Disk is.)

I have turned off the radio stream in the 3DX client and been using WinAmp to play the music streams. Since this problem continues to occur regularly even when playing the stream in a media player like WinAmp, I think it is safe to conclude that the problem is not in the 3DX client. Nor is it in my Internet connection, because I can stream both audio and video from other sources without any problem. In my opinion, the problem is very clearly in the streaming service being used by the people who are supplying the music in public areas. I suspect that this problem happens when a lot of people are log onto the game and enter a public zone all at the same time, thereby creating congestion at the site of the streaming service. Or, if you experience this problem in a public user room, the problem is probably at the site of the streaming service being used by the person who is DJing. So, it is very hard to pinpoint just what the problem is and how to fix it. You just have to live with it.

What are the specs of your pc? I am guessing it's a resource issue as most people, myself included, don't currently have any issues with the music in 3dx. It sounds like you areally running out of resources. This will be likely if you are on an outdated pc. Even more so on an outdated laptop.

Do you hang out in Sin Club much? A lot of people in Sin Club complain about the music cutting out. Same thing for Love Island and the rest of the public zones that have music.

Yeah, I have experienced that scratchy, weird sound she mentioned. I still think it is related to congestion, whether locally or at the streaming server.

Actually your comments gave me a good idea.  I increased my streaming buffer from 64 kb to 320 kb, which solved my problems completely so far. We'll see how it goes this evening, when the problem is usually the worst for me. But it does make me wonder if there is no way to increase the size of the streaming buffer to the game client.

Music is one of the cause. Server is the other. Have u read what she said about freezing? When ur computer freezes, the sound is like she described. You may experience more bugs and issues on the busy days .

I am having issues with the music too...as it comes through the house radio some of the songs sound like the chipmunks at warped speed. Not sure why this is happening and its not every song and I have deleted and regained the deleted song again from a different source, its still doing the same thing. Someone please help.
