explain 'Invite' process

Simple explanation required, please! Sorry to strain everyone's patience - take pity on a beginner.

 

I don't understand the 'Invite' process. I take my character to one of the locations, and I click on a passing figure, and sometimes - only sometimes - I get a menu from which I pick 'Invite' and then get a 'Wait' screen with a number counting down.

 

Then the number-count gets down to 0 and ends and nothing happens. Anywhere. 

 

Should I have done something during the countdown?

 

And who are the other figures at the location? They can't be other actual players, surely, or we'd be contesting control over what happened on a date - this couldn't work, I can't imagine.

 

Please explain the process - I've no tutorial to consult that I know of!

This means that you are inviting a person to your home. If you have not chatted with this person or do not know this person, it is considered a cold invite. Which is likely the reason the counter gets to zero. In order to invite, you have to select which home you want to invite the player to.

 

Cold inviting is also considered to be a hug, kiss or random dance invite if you have not asked the person in a PM. Try reading profiles as they tell you a little about the player. Some players accept these types of invites but many do not. Reading the profile can help you distinguish between these players. Also, say hello. The worst that can happen is someone not responding. If that is the case move on and you will eventually find someone to connect with.

The invite Process is easy, the other member need this accept
For the mostly player is it a bit the same as in real life, you should first talk with the member, flirt with him/her and maybe you have more luck with a Invite!

 

And never forget, behind a Avatar is always a real human!
