Should 3DX promote Plexstorm?

It seems to me like a cam site type of thing and not a streaming thing like on YouTube or something like that. I can't see them actually bothering or talking much with people who are not giving them real money tips... So I think a lot of the concerns that people have are likely overstated.

I was part of a stream right now and i loved it. And it was mutually consensual.

 

She doesnt seem to interact with anybody who is not in her plex stream too.

 

And with the others it was the same yesterday.

 

So, hopefully, this is turns out to be good for the ppl who fear their privacy and the ppl who love to take part.

 

But ofc nobody can talk or guarantee for every single streamer.

Lets be clear 3DXchat, is a sex site that does attract some persons that wish to play out sexual fantasies that would be clearly illegal and socially abhorrent to most people in real life.

 

Rape is illegal ... Rape play, may not be technically illegal, but for me promoting it is abhorrent.

 

Underage sex is ilegal ... Underage sex play, may not be technically illegal, but for me promoting it is abhorrent.

 

Recording sex without consent is illegal .... Recording a virtual sex play without consent, may not be technically illegal, but for me promoting it is abhorrent. 

 

All of the above is sexual exploitation and is usually acted on by those desiring power over their victims.

 

You can argue all you like that the Plexstorm model will not always be abused, but it clearly is .... and this will only get worse.

A big problem I see with this is the effect it may have on the social aspect of the game, which has been on the decline for some time as it is.

There is already a lot less chat in local and world chats than there use to be, often not only public areas but party rooms struggle to get anything going in local chats.

People are already untrusting or nervous about others and many are not willing to talk in public.

I can only see this making that worse.

 

If we are going to have this there needs to be some sort of control over where it can be used.

Maybe it should only be able to be used in private rooms where it is shown in the room list that room is being streamed.

 

For myself I would be nervous having sex with anyone I didn't know well and had done for a while.

I can see people streaming sex encounters without even seeking the consent of the other person.

It may be just pixels, but there is also a persons written text, some of which can be very personal and only intended for the moment.

I can see this being used maliciously and think it most definitely needs to be restricted in some form, not just left open the way it is.

 

If it is restricted in a way where we will know for certain that we are being streamed or not, then I can see that it can also add something to the game and can help promote it.

But the way it is it will cause more harm than good.

The Public audience are asking the streamer LIVE to humiliate the unsuspecting victim with offers of EARNINGS (XPS) ....

 

This is the beginnining  ... as it gets harder to get audiences the humiliation will get worse as the top streamers fight for the audiences  .......

Good news I think .....

 

Plexstom was included in the whats new section of the login page of 3DXChat ... It now appears to have been removed.

 

Would be nice if 3DXChat made it clear that anyone streaming PRIVATE MESSAGES of another member without their consent will be banned from the game.

Think you might missed my point, that is issue with the individual streamer and may not necessarily reflex the whole. Like say streamers others mentioned who write in their profile and rooms they open to stream that their streaming, nothing prevent any individuals from doing douchy things and should be something dealt with same way would for any other situations like that.

 

Think rather that demonizing the streaming as whole and what it could do to add more members plus create more awareness for 3Dxchat as whole, it would probably been better to make some guide lines for streaming and have more collaborate work together with the streaming service to deal with those issues.

 

Don't see how this can't be a good thing for 3dxchat if you deal with problems rather than just scrap it because of few created problems, it like saying we should scrap every good game that comes out because of toxic players rather than dealing with problem few instead.

I agree it could be a good thing done correctly (not popular however) .... To be done correctly it needs to be clear that streaming PRIVATE MESSAGES without the consent of the other party is not allowed. That should have been done before it was promoted by 3DXChat, not as an afterthought.

 

As regards Plexstorm, they have no incentive to stop PRIVATE MESSAGES being streamed ... It is the live interaction with the streamer, the victim, and the audience that is their selling point.

 

The audience are not going to want to watch Avatars have sex to get their rocks off  ... There are plenty of porn sites offering better graphics and story lines with real people or computer generated actors. 

 

This is going to attract people that want to watch and take part in the humiliation of a person live. A person unaware they are being watched.

 

Its being done with Avitars as doing so with a real person, without their consent, would be a a criminal act that would probably end in a prison term.

 

In the beginning there will be people playing fair  .... But they will not get the audiences I assure you  ....

From what I saw she was on the beach. Yeah, you could see name tags and such but I assumed that no one uses their real name. I stayed for like 90 seconds because I was bored. I don’t see an issue if streaming sex acts is consensual. If not, well, that’s a problem. I don’t necessarily see how it can be used as a tool for bullying. Honestly just playing opens you up to it is someone chooses to record.

ok, i decided to go look at what plexstorm actually is, i only have one question....  in one of the 3dx streams they have a tag called vape play. wtf is vape play?

 

Imagine it's supposed to be Rape play but since rape is against rules or there might been some filtering on plexstorm perhaps so they changed it to Vape play instead probably.

Anyway,... What can be done, if you want to protect your privacy?

1) Don't have sex I public.

2) Don't sleep with people you don't know, or doesn't take time to earn your trust.

3) Don't post pictures that you wouldn't show your friends.

I popped over and took a look at Plexstorm.  Seems pretty empty.  Have people seen any 3DX streams recently showing there?
