The only way I know to make holes is to make the hole where you want and 'build' your wall around the hole.

Basically take the hollow circle shape and make it in the same 'plane' as your wall. Size accordingly.

Now here's the somewhat tricky part. Copy your hole and use the green shaded tool that's right in the middle of the 5, the one that looks like a square with an arrow pointing to the upper right.

Use that tool to resize your existing hole so there's some give around it. Don't size it up too much so that there's an open ring around your existing hole. This allows you to then build off of that hole and use your wall tool to then build around it.

I had to do something similar when trying to make a hole for the bottom of my sink build.

Again, that' s how I did it for my holes, but there may be others here who are more skilled at it than I am.

Good luck!

There is an easier way to make round or oval holes in walls:

1.) Adjust the size of the objects to the desired value by entering the size into the input field "New Obj Scale". The default is 1m so maybe  you use 2.5 m.

2.) Create the shape that looks like a rectangular block with a half circle missing (it's the second from the end, so scroll down)

3.) Position it flush with your wall, the half circle shaped opening on top.

4.) Duplicate it and rotate it vertically, so that the new block is above the other and the openings now form a complete round hole.

5.) You may resize the hole by selecting both blocks and using the scaling tool in center mode (NOT pivot)

6.) If the hole shall be higher than wide lift the upper block accordingly.

7.) Finally build your wall around it in three pieces from both sides and the top and decrease the "thickness" of the two blocks to that of your wall by the volume scaling gizmo.
