Sorry MarMohan I really should not have brought that subject up again. I apologize.

As far as the results so far of this thread it seems the majority of people responding are not in favor have having an option for diaries to be private. A little of that is sour grapes I am sure, but for the most part it's obvious some people do not think it's a good idea.

Read the words Mar Mohan - Flight ........ Safe ......... Mode

Turns off WiFi, Bluetooth and mobile phone signal.

Stop making yourself look like a twit.

I've flown all over the world even on many airlines and they offer Wifi with all take off and landing you have to power down your devices as it's a requirement.  I've been on conference calls at 37000 feet in the air. So I'm not a twit, I've traveled so I can state otherwise.

Actually it looks like it’s starting to happen. Not on the flights i’ve Been on yet.

My friend works for Manchester and he's told me that it would be an international flight and would offer wifi even local.  It's easier to say you weren't online then state no internet.

Sorry MarMohan I really should not have brought that subject up again. I apologize.

It's okay.

I think the thought is there and give you credit for putting up a poll to see what others think.

Ffs Mar Mohan give it a rest. It’s on its way. It’s not there yet. Possibly on long haul first. EasyJet is the same flight safe mode or off.

Btw 2019 according to your link 90% of BA planes will be enabled.

Argument over, yeah. Unless you really want to have the last definitive word?

If this is still rumbling when I get home i’ll Post a copy of the pdf. Maybe record the safety briefing for you tomorrow?

Now to go and enjoy an ace dinner with his nibs, well when he comes out of the shower.

@RobT - You’ve shot yourself in the foot. My post in my thread outlining the timetable to ring it to a close said I was busy with work this week. My husband and I left home mid morning yesterday to travel to Poland for a major work event. There’s no Internet on planes, buster. Something different to what you think is happening.

Thanks for helping me get to 5700 posts, i couldnt have did it without you <3   6k here i come baby!!!!!!!!

I've flown British Airways and have used my electronic devices including my cell phone.

http://www.britishai...oard_Dec14.pdf And yes You can use the WIFI that is offered while on your phone in flight/airplane mode as I've done so.

Attached a screen grab.

I have the link and yes you can use it while flying.

To give an understanding of what airplane/flight mode actually does for a mobile phone:

if it's like some topics here, where people just fight back and forth, it will end up in the trash can all on it's own anyway

I hope I haven’t derailed the thread too far. It was a heaven sent opportunity to deal with Mar Mohan’s ‘Ciera is always wrong’ thing she’s so hell bent on as well as RobT’s saying someone is not who they are which he uses to undermine people he disagrees with.

That done, let’s get this one rolling again, yeah?

I am not sure what else is left to be said, I guess this topic has been brought up twice, and it doesn't seem most people are in favor of it.
