New Oculus Rift user controller question

Hi all,

 

I want to subscribe to this, but only if if the VR support for Oculus rift allows me to use the controller and not have to sit at my desk and use the keyboard.

 

after about an hour of searching I can not find the answer to this question;

 

In 3dxchat, do I walk around/navigate by using my rift controllers or do I have to use the keyboard.

 

How about all other interaction?  always keyboard or can I use my rift controllers?

I have not tried a control pad in VR but it works with the touch controllers. The only drag is that you can't use the sticks to move. You have to use your head to point and press a button on the touch controller to move to that location. So it's a bit like mouse control but your head is the mouse movement and your touch controller has the mouse buttons 

 

I will also add that this game looks fantastic in VR.

Have there been any updates yet?  Is this really VR supported or still the same as always?

 

Looking to use rift controllers NOT keyboard and mouse.
