NiceKati
I ran into a strange problem:I have accidentally deleted a large block under the house (the complete lawn) and wanted to reinsert it by using a former version of my room, save that block to file and merge it into the actual version. It is not possible to save this block as a file: The "save selected..." dialog runs as usual, but no file is written afterwards. Is there a limit in the size of the item to be saved this way, or is it because it is a single item?
MeiLing
You delete everything except the block, and save to file. then you can merge. You can save to file an empty room.
NiceKati
Thank you, MeiLing, in this case it was easier to make a new block fit in place.I would like to know where the problem is: Single item or too big to use "Save selected..."? MeiLing
I have never used the save select. I often create items in an empty room, group them and save them to file then merge.
darkangel
you can´t save a single item with "save selected"
Deeborah
yes you cannot save one item alone. But just create a "un-necessary easy to remove" item like a big cube.Select the cube and your item (so 2 items) and use select to file. When you import the saved file, just delete the unusual cube and that's it. Cordelia
Oh, that resolved my problem. Pity it hasn't been fixed in a year though (unless, of course, there is a good reason for not being able to do it). An error message would be nice though
