MissD
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Music_licensing-- From my understanding if you play music in public, bars, web stream etc. you need some sort of license to do that. Also you have to buy the music legally. meaning that you're not allowed to download it from.. E.g. youtube like a lot of people do But I don't know much about the rules, this is only how I understand it, but I'm not really sure what it takes in order to make it legal -- Edit:Unless you find some uncopyrighted music, like on SoundCloud, some people let you download their music for free, without copyright, then I think it's okay, without being 100% sure about it Edited July 28, 2017 by MissD Chilles

Mostly are two different Licenses needed for a kind of Webradio (Webcasting)If you are comes from US you need a ASCAP & BMI License Unneeded are this Licenses for non Public Webcasting (for example Private, closed and available only for some friends and a non-public audience). The License costs depend about your Audiences and the used Music. Nikki
I made a list of platforms that offer free music under the common creative license. Maybe that's useful for you aswell. http://3dxforum.com/index.php?/topic/1786-creative-commons-legal-music-for-free/ Chilles and Gizmo

Maybe that's useful for you aswell. http://3dxforum.com/index.php?/topic/1786-creative-commons-legal-music-for-free/ Yes, it's an alternate and very cheap method for Webradio For this kind of music isn't a License needed and there are a lot Tutorials who shows successful Webradios with CC Music. Negative aspect, each Song needs to be hand selected and mostly without known hits

Chilles
i just want to make parties in my 3dx home n call friends to come listen but i dont want any trouble heheh' The Locations needs to be non-publicly available, for example a closed Birthday party for just a few and close friends. For this kind of partys isn't a License needed, it's just like real life Or more precisely here works the real-life rule because for this kind of webcasting isn't a rule there!
