Now, is there anything other than character slots or gifts I can spend this on? A different apartment, a club layout, clothes, a ship, anything? I just feel like I must be missing something here. LovelyBritney Posted February 16, 2017 Share Posted February 16, 2017 No, there is nothing else you can spend it on other than characters, gifts, pic slots, beer and marriage (and divorce in the worst case). The devs don't want to implement any kind of ingame shop since we already pay a high price for the subscription and they want you to have access to all the game features after subscribing. You are focused on "getting gold" not on relationship with others players... We earn gold to make gifts and that's good. Guest Mulan Posted February 17, 2017 Share Posted February 17, 2017 I am glad we don't have a marketplace in 3DX. You start 3DX with not much less than someone who has been here for three years. You can create the same apartments, wear the same clothes, and mix with the same people. I have tried games like RLC and Second Life. With RLC you immediately go in looking different because of the colour of your name tag, and people will treat you differently because of that. If you want decent clothes, a decent apartment? You have to work hard to get to a point where you are even on the same playing field. Not only that, whenever any currency is involved, then the drama gets worse, and you then start getting the people who manage to make enough money they can give up their real job. I guess there is no harm in that, but it then starts to blur the lines between the virtual world and the real world. To be more "marketable" in Second Life or RLC you can share real life pictures and share a microphone. One of the things I like about 3DX is the anonymity. The lines between real life and virtual life are a lot clearer. Having said that, if you are willing to invest the time and effort into something like RLC or Second Life, then I can see that being a lot more rewarding. If you are looking for something closer to reality with much more possibilities, then I would say go with Second Life.
