I cant decorate my room...

I am not sure if this is where this belongs; but i am having some technical issues. I had to uninstall the game due to me keep losing connection. So, after i reinstalled the game i decided i wanted to decorate my room (and no not with the DLL. just regularly) and everytime I try to do so it loads and never completes...one time i let it be and it was 2 hours later and still did not load. Now whats odd is it has no problem loading and completing the load if i am going to other rooms, public or private; or my own as to just being there to chill out. As soon as i try to go to decorate it without the DLL it wont work and with the DLL it will. I would love it if someone can or would tell me what thee hex is wrong with this and i have uninstalled like 8 time no lie and still same outcome. Any help anyone offers i would highly appreciate it. Thanks

You cant re-decorate rooms with the vanilla DLL when they have been build with the modified DLL.

You can probably do two things now:

  1. Remove all props when on the modified DLL and save the room
  2. Ask support for room reset if nothing helps.

Just to clarify that, you can redecorate a Modified Room with the Vanilla client....but if its heavily modified the room will freeze while the Vanilla client deletes all the props outside the room.

I agree with Nikki, remove all props with the Modified DLL and then reinstall the game clean with an empty apartment.

Ah my bad then. I heard if you enter edit-mode with vanilla DLL it crashes all the time. Good to know tho.

I want the all the modifications to be deleted and that is why I uninstalled the game and reinstalled it. And now it will not load to go to editing the room unless I am using the DLL.

Ok I think I understand now.

if you have a heavily Modified room that you made with the Modified DLL that means you need to delete it all with the Modified DLL.

The Room is "Saved" on the server not your computer...so when you reinstalled the Vanilla client thinking it would reset your room....it does not.

When you loaded the Room with the Vanilla Client it will hang due to the props being outside the Apartment.

There is other ways to fix this but is complicated....best to load the Modified DLL ....delete all the props, reinstall the game :)

if you still have issues feel free to PM me and we can try and help you sort it out :)

if its a basic room its ok....but if you have lots of props outside it will hang while it tries to delete the props...normally leading to it crashing :)
