User created room lost

My friend has spent hours and hours creating her user room and when she logged on today most of it was gone only a few items of furniture were left floting in the air does anyone have any  clue why this happened or if and or how she can get it back without having to start over ???? PLEASE HELP !!!!

I might have an idea. Broken DLL after Patch

Sounds like room was created with the edited dll and then room was loaded after update patch without the updated edited dll. Causing all items that would of been considered in red not allowed to be placed areas, to be removed from room.

do you think redownloading the DLL and installing it will restore the room ?

Have one other question, but I do not have a solution.

Did your friend log off game, without leaving the newly designed room?

Like changing clothing and such in your closet, or customizing your room, you must load to a new area. To save your changes.

Basically Abbeys and Nikkis cases aren't possible cause you can just close the game without saving the room layout if you go to the editor without a dll, or with a broken dll, and notice its all red.

Or at least you'd know the reason your place is empty.

 

If you log off the game it simply doesn't save your latest editing session, this would not just clear whole place.

 

These things happened before there were any modified dll's and probably caused by a server error Probably would be fixable by the dev's if they took the time to do so.

Thank you all for your replies, My friend still doesn't know what caused her room to disappear but she has started to rebuild. I truly appreciate all your thoughts and suggestions

The server has been very laggy lately, the room data file may have been corrupted on upload or something, I think. At least I've noticed receiving corrupt data from server a few times in the recent days.

my room is empty too....its very bad...

 I was customizing my room & clicked on "Default Room" thinking the room would be saved the way it was but it went back to the default, (the way it is when you first start). Now everything is gone & I don't know if I can get it back!

Nope you can't get it back, you have to start over again

The key is if you load your room and it is messed up, do not leave the room by loading a new location, just exit 3DXChat without leaving your room. As long as you don't leave your room by going to another location, nothing will be saved / updated on the server. It's possible that what you are seeing is just a problem with loading the room that one instance. If that's the case, your room isn't really messed up or gone until you exit the room by going to another location and the game at that point saves the current state of the room.
