Ideas to expand existing locations

Here are a few I would love to be able to play in:

 

• Common showers and locker room (group sexy anybody?)
• Ice cream parlor (after closing, or just before closing for the day)
• Carnival (rides, food stands, attractions, etc)
• Race Track (oh, the sound or revving engines!)

 

 

Ohhhhh fun! I love the idea of the carnival! Especially with actual rides and/or games we could interact with? Like a ferris wheel or merry-go-round? Still hoping they create some kind of 'main street' with storefronts for the night club and Sin Club and boat launch for the yacht and Love Island and path to the beach off of it. Also the 'park' idea and maybe this carnival could be linked off of that. Build us an immersive world!

Love all these ideas,  I have just one i would like to add. At the beach to the left of the island. Add that beach with a beach bar an some paddle boats maybe some beach huts.

Posted this already, but seems to be a better place. I think it would be great to change the lighting in SIN. People like it there, but the light is just to...bright.

I love 3dx and have been haunting it lots lately, so please take the following as constructive criticism and ideas that are meant to inspire improvements and not just lamenting features I miss from another place. I do miss them, but I want to see them here too, and I really believe adding them would improve the atmosphere and immersion here.

 

I came from another similar social ‘game’ to 3dx that has been around much longer and is starting to show its age more and more compared to gorgeous newcomers like 3dx. I’ve been having this feeling lately that something, or perhaps better said a collection of subtle little things piling up, was missing that detracts from the overall immersion here.

 

Comparing the two experiences, the obvious things that stand out are that the place I came from was much much more wide open with customization. Not through a character manager like in most modern MMOs, but through a thriving ecosystem of player made skins and clothing and even real estate. I don’t want to ramble too much about that because it isn’t my point here and I still hope we’ll see more and more customization here over time as well.

 

I went in and peeked at the old hangout last night and wandered around some of my houses and it finally occurred to me what some of it really was. Some of those subtle little things that become glaring in an unconscious way once they pile up. Our customizable apartments don’t have bathrooms, or kitchens. The TVs are useless except for watching one thing. You can't open the door and peek out into the hallway.

 

It’s a little like the supposed ‘uncanny valley’ effect where you walk into a 3dx home and there are these important things missing that don’t exactly stand out, and then walk into a home in the place I came from and it feels plausible, and so more immersive. I miss being able to plop down on the couch with friends and chat while watching music videos on Capital TV or watch a movie.

 

So my suggestion is to expand the current apartment layouts to include options to make them more plausible. The art for a bathroom is already there in the Night Club, use that.  Speaking of using existing assets, if it is at all possible (and I’m no designer so maybe it isn’t), please consider allowing ALL animations to be used by both genders, regardless of how ridiculous you might think it is. If the skeletons will allow it, give access to it, from sex to dancing to sitting different styles. That would be a huge content boost right there of stuff you’ve already developed.

 

Finally, please also consider building a ‘main street’ for 3dx that connects all the places you’ve made for us to play so far. Create the hub of our little world here so it FEELS like a little world. A ‘main street’ where street signs lead off to the boat launch (yacht and Love Island), a sandy path leads off to the beach, and there are storefronts for the Night Club and Sin Club and the other locations you’ll eventually add. I think it’d make a big difference in helping people connect with this place even more.

I agree, these are the kinds of things that would make 3DX grow by leaps and bounds. Right now everywhere seems silo'd, like it's all separate and distant places with no connection to each other. Making it feel more like a living world would really help with the immersion.

 

Also, speaking of art assets already there but not available, I'd love it if everything that's in-game were available to us to place in our apartments, including textures, props, objects, etc. From disco balls to stages to DJ booths to toilets and sinks and campfires... There's so much that could be done with custom homes now without adding systems and additional features, but purely by making those props available to us. Would be a great way to keep us all busy while you add the systems necessary to allow for custom textures and props and clothing and hairstyles, etc.

 

Also, would love to see, in the meantime, a way to add simple 2D images inside frames (or not) that we can hang on our walls or place on our floors as rugs. That alone would allow so much customization right off the bat too. Just set it up take a url and people could make their own signs, posters, pictures, rugs, wallpaper, etc.

 

That said, all those stuff that's in-game now is awesome! Keep up the great work!

I totally agree that we need a bar on the beach,

 

but what I would like to suggest doesn't require any extra programming work,

it could be easily done in few hours:

 

Just add (or change) some already existing furniture to current places,

let us have all sex options in each location!

 

Now as the things are,

if you are (for example) at the Beach and want to use bed,

you must jump to Love Island to use one,

then you must jump to the Sin Club if you prefer to use that bar stool,

and finally you jump to the Night Club so you could have fun on the sofa...

 

In my opinion all places should be equally equipped!

 

Yacht looks really empty,

please at least put one bed in that empty lower deck cabin

and add some furniture in that main deck salon...

What about Copy and Paste the Beach, set the new beach to Sunset or shortly after sunset, light some fires and voila: Another location done in a couple of minutes.

 

Same with the love island: Make one that is not dark but in broad daylight.

We dont have enough locations for the luxury of removing parts that many enjoy.     

 

I would suggest a remake of the iceberg,  make it look like its made of stone.

I think I'd previously suggested I'd like to see member created content in terms of real estate. After going back and forth and revisiting old haunts and pondering on what went right and what went wrong, I think I've come to the conclusion that less is actually more.

 

Another social game like this that I frequented allowed members to design their own areas, starting with apartments and homes but eventually they built all kinds of things. Hundreds and hundreds of places. Whole towns, more night clubs than there were even players to enjoy them. I'm not one to ever want to stifle creativity, but it really completely changed the community and split people apart significantly from where they'd once been. A handful of really wonderfully crowded clubs suddenly got split apart into numerous clubs and few of them ever felt so lively like those early days before the boom.

 

So while I do think 3dx could use a small handful more social places to hang out with a main hub area to tie them all together in an immersive package, I don't think we need more than that. Night Club, Sin Club, maybe one more themed club? We've got the beach and the yacht, adding a town park and maybe a movie theatre that shows something other than just porn. Then tie it all together by adding a main street hub that leads to all of these different places and I think you'll have a really solid 'complete' 3dx world.

 

The place where user created content would really shine is giving us the tools to create clothing, then also new avatar skins with tattoos, and then a market where we can buy and sell them for xgold. We'll end up with a thriving economy and 3dx will make money from a small cut of every transaction in addition to xgold sales.

 

In summation, things I'd like to see:

 

'Main Street' Hub area

Town Park

Movie Theatre (with schedule of real movies)

Development Tool Kit for users to create clothing and skins with (with support interface for item exchange / economy)

I would love to see an industrial/gothic bar with more goth/Lolita/industrial/visual kei type fashions make its way into game.  plus maybe add like a bowling alley or a mini golf type deal to this as well for a game with in a game
