"Missing Browser Plugin" on television.

Laina

Recommended Posts

Alright, so, on my laptop, prior to purchasing this new PC of mine... (which, btw is a beast...) I was able to use the television without an issue....  Recently however, that is not the case....

When I try now, I always get a "Missing Browser Plugin" telling me to install flash, etc....

I already have flash, I tried updating, etc...

Any ideas or input on this?

Laina,

Which browser is currently set as your default? For most programs that use services like this, you need to have the Flash plugin installed for IE as well. You may have the plugin that is made for "other browsers", you can go to Adobes site here: http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/ and click "Do you have a different operating system or browser?"  Select your operating system and download and install the one for Internet Explorer

Ok so when I try to watch the TV I can hear audio, and at the bottom of the TV screen I can see the black media player bar showing the video progress and so forth, but instead of seeing the video I just see a blank green screen.

I tried Brun's fix above by updating Flash for IE as I use Chrome as my default browser but it's still not working.

Any other suggestions?

1) Install the latest version of DirectX

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/179113

2) Make sure you have installed and are running the latest video card drivers:

For NVIDIA http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us
For AMD http://support.amd.com/en-us/download

If you have older you should update it.

3) Install Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package

Using windows 8.1 - 64 bit - using IE 11.0 - Adobe Flash Player 15, it tells me that the flash player version is not the latest, but it is.  Any ideas?  I've tried everything posted in the forums I could find, still no luck. :-(   One other note, I did go to Red Tube website and they play there just fine, so something with the interface on the TV in game perhaps?  Thanks.

I have windows 7 update 1. Massive i7 with 16gb. And an R9 ATI radeon. I have tried a few diffrent versions of java. I have flash on all the browsers updated. Downloaded the C++ runtime and still get the same error on the tv screen.

Also have 3dxchat installed on a win8.1  i5 asus laptop with an intel graphic card. Game runs fine and smooth but still get the TV issue. IS a great idea I would love to see it expanded to even allow local content to be sent out or seen in game.

Just sub'd to the game (good stuff so far!) and was having this issue.  I had the latest updates for flash, etc.  What actually worked for me was installing the NPAPI Flash Plugin for Firefox.  After that I was able to view the TV.  I do not have Firefox installed on my system.

TV doesn't work for me. 64 bit Windows 7. And if I enter a room with TV on, I get the awesomium died pop-up box. Flash is all updated. I've resigned myself to dealing with the awesomium error, but in response to Gizmo's request, I have 64 bit windows 7. Oops, repeat.... :)

Guys if you have "Missing plugin on TV" here is a solution from Setheus

Install NPAPI Flash Plugin for Firefox

1. Go to http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/otherversions/

2. Select the OS from the pull down (Windows 7 for example)

3. Under 'Select Version' drop down box select NPAPI for FireFox

Download and install it. Then reboot your PC.
