Sugar Bunny
Hello everyone! First off I'd like to thank DragonLady for doing such amazing job of running the DOOM ROOM! But then I have to congratulate Carus, BroadswordLily, Vail, TheLastVirgin and Cariso for solving the puzzle with an amazing 58 minutes to spare! Your group of geniuses easily escaped this week's DOOM ROOM, so we'll have to make next week's even more challenging! Special congrats to BroadswordLily who entered the code which deactivated the DOOM ROOM. Bennet
Sugar Bunny
Below are the four walls of this week's DOOM ROOM. See if you can figure out the six digit code for yourself! I'll be posting the answer later!

Sugar Bunny
SPOILER ALERT! BELOW IS THE SOLUTION TO THE LATEST DOOM ROOM! To figure out the code you must first determined the values of A,B,C,D,E,F,G, H & Q. The clue to A, found on the west wall, is "pawn shop". If you look at the south wall you will see a picture of a chess piece pushing a shopping card (ie. pawn shop). There is a number two written on that picture. Therefore A=2. The clue to B, found on the west wall, is "t-shirt". If you look at the east wall you will see a picture of a tea cup wearing a shirt (ie. t-shirt). There is a number one written on that picture. Therefore B=1. The clue to C, found on the west wall, is "shake, rattle and roll". If you look at the north wall you will see a picture of a milkshake, a maraca and a bread roll sitting next to each other (ie. shake, rattle and roll). There is a number three written on that picture. Therefore C=3. The clue to D, found on the west wall, is "recording". This relates to the riddle located on the east wall. In that riddle you are asked to figure out if the man was murdered or committed suicide, with murder equaling two, and suicide equaling four. Since the tape plays the message as soon as the play button is pressed, that means someone must have rewound the tape after it was recorded. If the man had committed suicide then he would not have been alive to do that. Therefore it must have been murder. Therefore D=2. The clue to E, found on the west wall, is "sunday morning". This relates to the riddle located on the north wall. Since mail is not delivered on Sundays, it can be deduced that the maid was lying, and is therefore the murderer. If you look at the south wall you will see that maid is #4 on the list. Therefore E=4. If you look at the south wall you will see that F=2+2x2. Proper mathematical sequencing dictates that multiplication is always done prior to addition. Therefore 2+2x2 is 6. Therefore F=6. If you look at the south wall you will see that G equals a series of scrambled words. If you unscramble the words you get "eighteen minus nine". 18 - 9 = 9. Therefore G=9. If you look at the south wall you will see the letter H written on the lowest, center square of a pattern. At first this looks like a mathematical problem, but it is actually a matter of simple color mixing. As we see in the top row of squares, yellow plus blue equals green. The numbers correspond to colors: Yellow equals four, blue equals two, etc. Since blue must be mixed with red to make purple, and since we know red has a value of eight, we can deduce that H=8. If you look at the west wall you will see that the value of Q corresponds to a riddle about Sandra's mother. Since Sandra is not directly mentioned in the riddle it can be deduced that Sandra is her mother's fourth daughter. Since Sandra has six letters in her name, Q=6. If you look at the west wall it says that the code needed to deactivate the DOOM ROOM can be determined through the following expression: (G+H)(A+D)(B+E)(C+Q+F). Adding in the numbers we have already deduced above we see that the expression becomes (9+8)(2+2)(1+4)(3+6+6). This can be simplified to (17)(4)(5)(15). Therefore the code can be deduced to be 174515. But we're not quite done yet. You will notice that there is a red star next to the expression (G+H)(A+D)(B+E)(C+Q+F) on the west wall. If you look at the south wall you will see that a red star is equal to "esrever redro". If we reverse those letters it reads "reverse order". Therefore the code needs to be in reverse order. Therefore the proper code to deactivate the DOOM ROOM is not 174515, but 515471. Therefore the code to deactivate the DOOM ROOM is 515471.
