It was great sadness that I woke up this morning to hear the sad news of the death of the great comedy actor Gene Wilder, at the age of 83.

I have many fond memories of his many films, from first seeing him as Willy Wonka, to his films with Mel Brooks and Richard Pryor.

But this is only part of his legacy he was also a writer and a campaigner for cancer awareness.

So here, I would like to say thank you. Gene Wilder for all the wonderful memories. It was hard to pick one favourite, but this one has always been one of many that always makes me smile.

The laughter will never die!

I answer late to my Missy but I do, now that 2016 is over. I do not like any posting in here, I want to keep the silence and respect to Gene and the others who are gone but surely will never be forgotten. 2017 already has bitched too, no musician, no artist but a hero of me passed in January 2017.

It is the flow of time. We should keep the fire of our heroes in our hearts and tell the world of them so they will never be forgotten even not when our time to leave has come one day. Some of my heroes died before I was born but I know them because my parents told me of them and I hear their music, watch their film, know what they have done.

And if there is a heaven I know where we will meet our heroes again and then forever.

R.I.P. all of you
