Hi, just recently purchased to try. Tried installing on Windows 10 64b. I get the error message "This app can't run on your PC". Tried downloading from mirror and main download link to ensure install file is not corrupt.

Tried running as administrator and using compatibility. No joy... please help.

Interesting. I know people run the game with 64-bit Windows 10 so it should work just fine. After a lil research I found out that another cause for this error is corrupted installer, could be problems with the downloads again (wouldn't be the first time -.-)

I have seen a similar problem to friend laptop. 3DX start after update from WIN7 to WIN10, but could not see the image. Uninstal/ Install 3DX/ Update graphics drivers  - problem still exists

Bad WIN10 drivers for AMD graphics cards. (For specific AMD graphics card)

We returned back to WIN7

:huh::blink:

How is it if you install just for the 3DXChat installation the standard VGA driver for your Graphics card?

I'm really not sure the reason for this issues is a AMD graphics card because never heard before a similar problem with amd graphics and Windows 10.

Well, possible is all....

Achilles - I talked about this problem with support 3DX - mail correspondence.

After a series of experiments and reinstall drivers support told me - bad WIN10 drivers AMD for a specific graphics card.

It was almost immediately after the release WIN10. Six months ago, at least.

I think that now AMD has solved this problem. However, my friend did not want to do an update to WIN10. He was scared )

Hi everyone. Thank you for the responses. I do not have an AMD card. Also the installer does not run at all. I have re-downloaded several times from main and mirror. I have run in admin mode. I have disabled my AV before install.

If I run the installer in admin mode the error says "Windows cannot find.... [path of the file]". If I run out of admin mode it says "WIndows cannot run this app, find a version of this app compatible to your PC."  Also it is easy to blame something as complex as a PC but have never had an issue like this before.

installer is corrupt, do not use the browser to download files larger than 10-50 mb

Try for download Flashget or other downloader

I install 3DX to some Win10 64 bit computers -  all OK

By the way, my system is Win 10 64-bit
Everything works fine.

Installer tested now, works good for me on Windows 10 64Bit...

Is your Win10 up to Date with all possible Updates?

I agree - it seems to be a corrupt installer. Will try to download using a download manager and report back.
