Virtual Partner Bug?

I remember ages ago when I played this game, there was the ability to use two of your own characters on each other-- you know, so you didn't have to go out and talk to other folks or whatever.

 

I recently picked 3DX back up and now you can't do that (I specifically bought some XGold so I could make use of that feature by creating another avatar). Nor can you switch the position of your avatar and the default virtual partner. Adding onto that, when I press the close button on the name of the default partners they won't go away. Is this a bug, or simply how the game works now?

You can still use two of your own characters ^^ Sadly swap isn't there for bots though And you'll have to re load the room to get rid of them.

 

Alright after a lil bit of research put into it I think there might be a bug where your own characters appear on the list only if you have three characters >.< But don't buy a third character cause of my conclusions! D:

Well I tried to do that! But unfortunately my other character doesn't show up on the "add a virtual partner" list. I'm happy to know that the function is still available but how do I get the bug fixed if I don't want to buy a third character?
