Local chat...

In the light of recent events I start this discussion about what the local chat is for.

 

To summarize the surrounding: People having some roleplay in public and talk in local chat. Just after a few lines people around began to complain about this.

 

Now the general question ... what is local chat good for? Isn't it a posibility to have group roleplays until we (finally) get group chat? The argument of you could move to apartment doesn't count, because you need sometimes the public locations.

 

Isn't it much easier to ignore thos people who bother others before starting discussions about what's allowed and what not?

 

Wouldn't it be easier for all to ignore those who are disturbing others than starting this discussion again and again.

 

Why not avoiding these discussions again and again, when there is given a simple solution??

 

As told that often this is a obvious assigned genre of game. So people should expect sexual roleplay and after reading the rules several times there is nowhere written that it's forbidden. The only rule which concerns with chatting is

 

 

2.05. Spamming or posting nonsensical messages is prohibited in the chats. This also includes excessive use of caps.

 

But I won't say roleplaying is spamming because this would mean that even stripshows in the Sin Club aren't allowed, no spin-the-bottle games and these nonsense conversations in local also would be against this rule.

Those who feel disturbed by other players roleplays should ignore them with the ignore button and stop these discussions again and again. We all are here and want some fun. That's what we're paying for and not for discussions.

I agree with this ... afterall this is sexually oriented game and ppl are bound to expect others having public sex and other public fantasies ... its one of most common fetishes do i dont get the hot blood around it.

As a matter of fact without RP this game is just...pretty much nothing. Calling RP spam is just silly imo. And again, ignore is very useful. Use it.

I agree that this should be expected, and actually happened today while I was in the Sin Club. The only way around this, that I can think of, would be being able to set up private chat windows that a group can join (assuming this doesn't already exist, new to game). This would also be nice when a few people are sitting together and want to chat, but local is very active, like a small group doing RP.

I am sorry, but I really don't feel it is necessary to do that in public or world chat, keep it in private. This is a community of many different people and values. The ignore button is not always a great solution. It helps yes, but does not always work appropriately. Also does not change that we need to have respect for others. Why do I have to keep ignoring people? Why can't people just be respectful? What is wrong with that?

Please Hera or Paulanna post the exact wording which says sex in public is against the rules. I've readen them several times and there is not a word which says this.

 

Well in this case we're discussing here the ignore button works great. Sadly it's still not working both ways, but maybe development will improve this by time.

 

the point is if someone is bothering you, just hit this little button and everything is fine. And no one cares about how long the blacklist will be.

 

And people being respectful in here ... maybe a bit too much to expect. This is virtual and ... well you can do what you like. Especially things which you can't do in RL.

I agree that sometimes this is anoying, but that's what the ignore button is for.

 

Either using it or not. But then there shouldn't be a reason to complain about other peoples behavior especially when it's not respectful.

This is the best I have heard in a long time. This communitiy got too much respect. I don't know in what kind of slum you would like to live Jola but we don't share that vision. 

 

There are better way manage RP and sex in public and be respectful. 

 

This game need to my own opinion :

 

a no sex zone like we use to have in club so people flirt in peace. 

a zone where it is to be expect to have sex in local. ex : (a swinger club)

a the long await group chat feature for orgy.

a real BDSM club for all the folk that love domination and submission

 

One more thing : This game doesn't have a sense of community anymore. What I see mostly is people caring about they own little pleasure and don't care about the rest. They want there own little play ground and the game could go well or not and it the last of there thought. 

 

They are thing missing in that game and other that would make 3dxchat better and seriously, there not too much respect.

There are many things missing about this game. But it is not as horrible as you make it sound like. Respect is gained. Not given freely.

I didn't want to say that people shouldn't respect each other in here, but those who don't show respect the way you like can be ignored easily.

That's the main point of my previous post.

 

Respect is important especially when you're "playing" with other peoples. Your borderies got that far until you reach those of another one. People need to compromise to live along each other.

 

I agree that the groupchat is THE solution and will end all this, but it will last ages until we get it as it seems. Or the other idea of Infamy to add a sex-local-chat.

 

I disagree that people should be stuck into one location to do what they like. Well the club already is sex-free but the other locations aren't. That's how it is. And so I guess it's ok for people having fun at these locations.

The division is there that you like it or not. And it doesn't help to hide those differents visions of 3dxchat under the rug. 

 

We can all pretend to be a big happy family or talk about what we expect of 3dxchat and the difference between us like adult would do.

I sure don't share Jola's idea and I reply to her about what I see and think about the game. 

 

This dialogue is the only way that there might be a chance to ever found a middle ground or not. 

 

We are all adult, let talk like adult would do.

So, I do my best to respect others and their choices. I have endured many things here. I do not feel I am asking for to much. I should not have to hunt around for these offenders to just ignore then. All I can say is this. 3dxchat is not what it used to be. I for one, only pop on to see a few friends I have made and in time that will cease too. Why keep coming here and being subjected to constant disrespect, where I have not disrespected you. This has nothing to do with mods or no mods, it has to do with the fact that this is suppose to be an adult community, but is filled with many children thinking this is just a playground. That they have s right to treat others poorly. I joke and jest and try to enjoy my time. I try to ignore the idiots who feel they have a right to disrupt my time. All I can say is that I am very disappointed in how things are going. That is my heart felt view. Like it or not, matters not to me. Enjoy your game, but please respect mine as I try to respect yours.

There is no way to satisfy all the population and be a big happy family using this medium. True human bond requires much more than a remote communication.

 

We however, can understand the needs of each other and try to comply WITHOUT compromising our own needs. This requires, acceptance, patience and maturity. Those qualities are lacked by many in this game.

Respect ,  one big familly .... Hmmm ... nice words , unfortunately they are fake . We are not a big familly , we are many "small families" . I mean , My "familly" in game is my friendlist as all of us i think . Sometimes it grow , and sometimes it reduce . And most of families try to impose their idea of respect forgetting to respect others . The ignore button is not a solution , saying "you dont like seeing rp spamming , just ignore people" sound like "feel free to stop the game"

 

To me , untill there is group chat , the ones wanting sex rp , fantasy rp etc .... must do it in pm ( i dont talk here of one or two sentences wrote time to time , but of long rp spamming the local/world chats )

 

Hmmm i see the mods were mentionned , my 2 cent on it . ALL games need mods . Like Hera say , since the mods are gone , the game is becoming more irrespectfull with time .

I for myself have no problem with public rp or sex but that is only my personal opinion. 

 

To the devs:

A group chat is needed ... more and more people make private "partys" at home and the public locations are getting more and more empty. That can't be the target for the future. Beside that make the friendlist more useful ... we can chat with a person in pm in any location so why cant I open a chat with someone from my friendlist. 

 

To everyone else:

As long as there is no group chat or special rp chat in a location keep your sex rp for yourself ... I know its not a good solution but flooding the public chat with rp messages can be annoying for everyone else who is not involved. public chat is for everyone same as the world chat.

 

Even in a game with sex elements it is not the only way to play this game. Some come online to chat with friends some get online to have sex. The ignore button shouldn't be used as a button for clearing out messages I dont want to read ... this should be the last resort to to get rid of annoying people.
