Couple of technical questions.

Hi all, just started playing yesterday and found a couple of issues that hopefully the community can help me with. I tried looking for a "Techincal Support" forum, but only found a FAQ.

First, sometimes the sound is garbled in game. I noticed that the music sounds distorted, but not all the time. Seems to come and go. I haven't had trouble with sound from other sources, other chats, games, youtube, iTunes, so I don't believe it is the computer. My connection is on the slow side, so could that be the cause?

This issue, I know, is because of my slow connection. I tried to use the videos in the apartment, it keeps stopping to re-buffer. Is there a way to tell the in game video player to use a much larger buffer? I am willing to wait a little as long as the video will play smoothly, the starting and stopping is annoying. I can play videos from other sources, like youtube, with no trouble, but I think the game and the video running at the same time is more than my DSL connection can handle.

Thanks for any assistance.

Thank you for the response.

I actually just updated my drivers yesterday, so that shouldn't be the issue. Maybe I need to check them, I think that "Alchemy" program needs to be reset after an update. I am not sure last time I ran de-frag also. Should be on a schedule, but I think I have it set to not run if I am using the computer. I have had issues in the past when my computer needed to have de-frag run, now that I think about it.

I should check for programs running in the background too. I have tried to make sure all that can be turned off, are, but some like to restart themselves.

Thank you for the suggestions.

The music issue seems to have cleared up since checking the settings and a quick de-frag.

Isn't the in game video player "Flash Player"? Maybe there are settings there to improve the video playback. It really isn't that important, but would be nice to have it working should there be a need while "playing". I don't know much about Flash Player, if that is the video player, so wouldn't know where to start with that.

Thanks again for the help.
