RadioTunes Licensing (Important)

Hello 3DXChat Community, it seems the host this game uses for the radio system "RadioTunes" no longer allows their public domains directly anymore, this is a problem, meaning all radio stations in the radio will not work.

Sadly there is not much that can be done at this time due to the developers being away on holiday until 11th.

I have written to them explaining this situaiton and I do sincerely apologise for any inconvenience it may have caused. It means the game developers will need to find a new host for the radio system in rooms.

For the time being, you will only be able to use custom links given by friends, or to other stations that are not linked to radiotunes or it's affiliates, this is due to a new licensing agreement.

My apologies on behalf of this situation and hopefully all can be resolved in a quick manner. But for now only public zones will have music played in them. Of other streams. Including the 3DX official stream.

I thought I will let you all know of this situation until it can get resolved. So basically the radios will not work in rooms.

You can try one of these Radiostreams, just copy the link you like to "my stream" on the radio

I don't know Fairy as it isn't a game problem, it's RadioTunes changing their policies which affects the game. But Developers are on Vacation at the moment until the 11th. And it should be fixed when they get back.

Yeah all custom streams will work. Whether it be your own or someone elses or a whole different radio station. But the default stations that are in the radio housing item all no longer work due to RadioTunes' new licensing policy which removed Third-Party streaming.

seems as if 181fm did the same on their radiostreams, i tried to set some of these streams in my home, no one worked !!!

I just open the RadioTunes channel that I want to listen to in my browser. It works just as well and all you need is a free RadioTunes account

If 181 doesn't work anymore... There not just 3dx that are in trouble but a fews other online games that used those radios.

I am not surprised that Radiotune changed there licence. It must cost them a fortune in licences if they wanted to be legit.

Third party streaming mean that this third party is making profit out of using there free streaming and that can be a mess licencing wise.

Possible, but there some licencing details to take into account.

It one thing to host a party and stream once in a while, but streaming 24/7 in a game that is making profit out of it... It a big grey area since there a need to pay royalties at one point.

I am personnaly licenced to broadcast/stream, but my licence only cover as long as there no money made out of it.

Let just say that I wouldn't take the chance. lol. Especially with the bad record of people trying to get payback at one point.

It's already been discussed with lawyers and such, so it should not be a problem, due to it not being a profit inducing stream itself, but I am unsure on the final details at this time, I don't think it will be 24/7 streaming, it may be, it may not, but as the new streams are not related to 3DX in anyway nor is endorsed, it's more of a DJ Stream By DJs for DJs in a non-profit way. And may be used at certain times.

But I do believe the radio system will need to be fixed and a new radio host found with multiple channels to choose from. Hopefully when the Devs get back from Vacation on 11th, stuff will all be sorted then.

Ok! Looks like we got some alternative options here ^^ Thanks for sharing those But please do something about it.. Radio tunes was playing nice songs all day long.

Thank you for your INFO. MrAsh and thank you everyone who offer alternative Radio Channels for us.

Unfortunately, Radio Tunes has changed their policies. I wish 3DX Dev could get it back.

Honestly, their DJ and Music tunes are better than other radio stations (less boring music).

And huge of Music Genre, It is also including with free Digitally Import website

and Jazz Radio Website for premium membership.

Naxi Cafe Radio is my second best here.

3DX is not just a plain sex game but Music presentation bring more people to join this game too.

I'm Lighting Programmer, I can't imagine how can I program the lights without good music.

As well as, Pyro, Laser presentation.

Or even with Video or 3D animation from Coolux or Hippotizer console and so on.

What's happening if we muted the best sound?
