Hello everyone. I hope I am posting this on the right section if not please mods move it where it belongs to.

Some of you may know that I do movies here as a hobby. This baby - above - is a beautiful thing for amazingly smooth camera movements - I'm using trackball right now but as you can see in our movies here: http://jbheat.comeven being the most careful moving the ball can be skippy and not smooth. 3DConnexion is a beautiful thing, but checking the product info all kind of games and platforms listed for it's compatibility, 3DXChat is not yet on that list.

More about this tool here: http://www.3dconnexion.co.uk/products/spacemouse.html

Compatibility list here: http://www.3dconnexion.co.uk/supported-software/software0.html

As a very nice quality adult 3D platform 3DXChat is perfect for making beautiful virtual movies and this tool above could be an excellent help for those of us that have that hobby.

So my question is - before I buy one - is 3DX compatible with it, and if not, are there any plans to make it so?

Thanks for the help and info in advance.

I've got a space mouse exactly like the one pictured and 3dxchat definitely doesn't work with it. You can, with some tweaking make it kind of work, but it never works well.

That said it works fantastically in poser and maya and modo and mudbox and photoshop.

And second life by the way. It costs around 100$ and there is a SDK. And while the navigation in 3dxchat is quite rudimentary why not support those 3D mice?
