Moving Camera & Character

Hello;

I am new to this game and doing everything that I need to do.  I need help with a few basics, but it seems that a detailed search for these items turned up nothing.

I am either using the wrong key words or nobody else has these issues.  So far I have created my character and gone to my location and walked around, invited a virtual person and interacted.

1.  My character is centered in the screen and it's hard to get a good angle of view.  Here is an example.

When I was designing my character's face, I could not zoom in on the face to see detail.  Zooming in would zoom in on the belly area.

I could not figure out how to zoom in on specific body parts, like head, hands, feet...

2.  My character's skin is not the color I am selecting in the character creator.  I had to set a lighter skin to get the results I wanted.

3.  the room lighting is difficult to control.  Is there a way to; control the room lighting as a whole, make it brighter or darker?  Is there a way to keep the position selector open instead of having to open it all the time?

Thanks

FG

To zoom in on your face you click the "Head" Word on the menu on the left, or zoom in with your mouse wheel then hold click the mouse wheel and move mouse up or down to raise and lower the camera.

Hopefully the Skin Color will be included in the Color Palette in a future patch.

Unfortunately there is no way to control the lighting in your room, but the camera has an auto dim/bright filter where you will notice the screen get slightly darker the further in your room you go away from the outdoor lighting and window sources.

I hope this clears it up for you!

Kind Regards

Ash

In-game (as opposed to Character Editor), do you know about F5? It enables you, in conjunction with the arrow keys or WASD, to move the view almost anywhere. It is straight-line so you can use the mouse wheel right mouse button to change the orientation.

As far as lighting is concerned there is a lot that you can do with wall/floor/ceiling coverings, additional lights and video driver but then it is fixed for the duration of the settings, unfortunately.

Maybe my system is not working correctly.  When I use F5, RIGHT to LEFT arrows work fine.  UP & Down zoom IN and OUT.  I can't get some angels at all.  Some angels cut off the person's head or make it impossible to get the angel that I want.

What would you suggest?

seriously, keep on trying, n trying, n trying (real slow and sensitive - mousewise, lol, naughty u readers) to get that super correct angle u wish and want and keepn "bumpn" it once a month atleast^^

i also sometimes have that "angle-prob" and guess thats just the engine and the programmed|writtn software 3dxchat code that just cant handle certain "angles" in or at some positions of the cam (yet)...who knows!

wlecome to game n forums n good angle fuk...caughs...i mean lick, lol, LUCK ofc^^

Don't forget that when you are on flycam mode (F5), you can still use your mouse.

While on F5, hold right button pressed on mouse, and move mouse around for your directions.

I'm sure that in F5 mode, with the combinations of arrows + holding right click pressed on mouse while moving it around, you should be able to get all angles available.

You can use the mouse and the arrows like said before , plus E to move your camera up and Q to move your camera down , plus if you need very precise zoom , use the zoom option included in the photo tool . It's way more précise than the wheel zoom and both together can allow you to do close ups very close :)

I'm new too and experiencing the same hardships as Forest, it seems way too difficult for such a good looking game and I do hope this will be rectified in the future.

As for now, I guess there's no magic answer and must just practice and practice with what we've got.

Hope I can get my camera angle sorted before the actions over, that's all  :/

I've actually got used to this real quick so it's not as bad as I first thought. I find it helpful to keep the camera operational  :)
