GeorgeGr Posted June 28, 2015 Share Posted June 28, 2015 In this poll, I am trying to see how many people are annoyed by the random disconnects.Disconnects can happen for many reasons, some of those are that the developers want to push an update.Or simply that they need to restart the server. In those cases, the developers can warn us ahead before they disconnect us so we can plan ahead. The whole idea is to convince the developers to add a warning that will be displayed whenever we join the game saying something like: "Please note: server will go down in 30 minutes for scheduled maintenance. (not today) noone wants to keep paying 300 xgold again and again to promote his room every time he gets disconnected. now imagine it that happens in the moment of a marriage proposal which costs 10000 xgold lol it's also a big mood killer when you're in distant places (like the iceberg at the love island or the island at the beach) and you have to go there all over again to resume what you were doing... I completely understand that networks sometimes are unstable. But if devs know that they are going to kill the server for a while.. it would be nice to have a warning before they do it. Tauri Posted June 28, 2015 Share Posted June 28, 2015 I think what you are expericing is a fault on your end not the server... i have been playing this game for ages and the only times i get disconnected is when the warning for a server restart appears in the bottom of the screen. LOL perhaps if it did less complaints. usually the reconnect button works just fine.. today it didn't work because the eu proxy went down for no reason.. everyone got disconnected and couldn't get back in. There been known DC for some player more than other and the causes can varies. There no way the game can warn you in advance that you will get disconnect from the game if you are experiencing technical issue that can be either related on your end or even it can be unplanned server trouble. I don't know where you are but if you are in europe, you can try to log in the game choosing the EU proxy server, that might help a bit. The only moment when everyone get disconnect is when the dev push a new update and there a new feature now that warn the player with a short countdown before DCing them. But if I read well, what you are expenriencing, it doesn't seen to be the case. And plus, we all know that the update in 3dxchat are not that frequent. I nearly never get DC but I am one of the lucky one and I live in Québec and I am fairly close to the game server which is in the US. What I know that can cause frequent DCing : External issues :Server issues (those are rare and usually affect the whole community)Problem with a IP provider routing (by exemple, some part of france and ISP had regular problem to connect and it the reason the dev add the EU proxy) Internal issues : High latency (might be cause by a faulty routeur, a bad WIFI and others causes) Check your firewall setting (you might want to check what are your firewall setting on your computer and pay attention to third party firewall)Performance setting (The game doens't ask much ressource to play on a modern computer but on some older hardware, you might want to lower your quality setting to make sure that the game doesn't freeze because it willl cause DC,) It all I can think for now, but I am sure there more. I still need my coffee and waking up. P.S.I might also add that this poll is unrealistic since there always gonna be disconnection that is cause by technical problem and in that case there no way the game admin can warn you that it will happen. What could be done is a server status page that could say if there EU proxy and the main server game is online. That way you can know if there an actual game issues. Very big lag from my internet provider to 3dx server (800...1000 ms)/use Europe game proxy/7. Server down/Learn Russian/ Chinese. Wait. Take cup coffee/8. But don't get me wrong, I am only talking about intentional server disconnects where the admins take down the server mostly to push an update or when they simply want to restart the server for their own reasons. I don't know if i am just unlucky, but I personally have been disconnected during sex and during having my room promoted many times. I am clarifying - when I say disconnects, I mean only the intentional ones where everyone in the game gets booted. PS: Skar, about the EU, yes i'm from the EU, and I use the EU proxy.
