Music Copyrights

DeAngelo

Recommended Posts

I had a other member with the same problem and at last we found out it was only with ripped youtube mp3 :)

With Original MP3 (he had not one) was this problem never!

It seems a problem with the used codec of some YouTube rippers!

Also should the most know, the using and ripping of YouTube Videos/Songs is in the most Country's Illegal, also is it not the same good quality as Original MP3 :)

Allright, i got some insight.. Got them at youtube with Freemake since most of them didnt have download links.

Is it illegal to rip off youtube if they are Non copyright material?

FRAPS for ... ok, other building site. :D

DeAngelo, sorry but i have a problem to understand your YT links.

This thread is a manual for streaming, not for ripping instructions :)

If you have quality problems, buy the song and it should be history

Again. How do i buy a song that isnt for sale?

Its like mowing a lawn on a desert, where no grass can possibly grow

With the YouTube songs is it always a bit difficult... There are many remixes of songs of Hobby DJ's who also haven't the rights for upload her remixes. This is often one of the reason why you find some songs or remixes only in YouTube!

Fact is, all Videos and Songs have a copyright and YouTube isn't a official Download Page!

Also if you pay a song of an official Download Page, then is after the paying the song not yours and you can do with them what you want, it is still the song of the author! You pay only the usage rights for your own and private using! A sharing of this song with friends breaks also the copyrights. This is very important for DJs, Hobby DJs! The most think she have pay the song and she can this remix in a other version and after this share on YouTube... This is wrong!

Also are the most DJ mix sets in youtube are Illegal Uploaded!

The DJ is mostly only the author of the mix but not of the songs. Share a own DJ mix is only then legal if you have the rights for this from the song authors :)

In Beatport for example you can only sell a DJ Mix when you paid before all songs of the mix on Beatport, then you have the rights for sell your mixes only on Beatport. The reason is all Labels and authors agree the Beatport Rules if she want sell a song on Beatport and you as remix DJ mix the set then for Beatport :)

But if you sell one mix on Beatport, you as DJ get then only 10% of the mix price! The other 90% get Beatport, some Licenses and ofc the song authors.
The winner in this Busines is in the most parts only Beatport, with much luck you get of the sell only your investition back but this is not important so long the DJ's a legal space for share have.

For my opinion is at this time Beatport the only one legal why for share own DJ mixes online! And I as DJ can Support the song authors and the music Industries :)

I think its safe to say that the platform Mixcloud is also a good opportunity to share DJ mixes. Its free to sign up and its legal. Mixcloud pays royaltie fees to collecting societies (Like BMI, PPluk & GEMA). You can also timestamp your mixes and Mixcloud will add "Buy" links for the played tracks to support the author and for the listeners to purchase directly if they like.

Copyright: Is Mixcloud licensed to play copyrighted music?

Mixcloud copyright license

At Mixcloud we are committed to supporting artists who appear in shows which contain music, to provide a superior legal alternative to file sharing for DJs and radio presenters.

As such, Mixcloud is a licensed radio service and has agreements with various collecting societies around the world.

Royalties are paid to the collecting societies, who in turn pay out to the appropriate labels and artists based on their individual recording and publishing deals.

https://soundcloud.com/roulon Soundclooud as well as Mixcloud have tons of labels that offer free legal downloads as well as artist. Truth of the matter is this world is full of talent, people that create music for the love of it and are more than willing to share with other music lovers.

Soundcloud is more Interesting for music authors :)

For upload on Soundcloud you need also the rights of the Authors or your own Copyrights.

I had an own remix of an Song upload to Soundcloud and this was after two weeks removed :)

On Beatport is it still ^^ Ofc the Song was from Beatport.

I was wondering why you havent made an account there yet. It is really great and alot of talented artists there, also you can find some well known artists there that publish their podcasts to Mixcloud.

Was not so really sure about the rights, I remember before one year was Mixcloud in germany  a grey zone and not so really legal about the GeMa rules  And I was happy with Beatport! Later I lost the point of view about the rules in Mixcloud.
