Unable to patch

I am not able to patch the game. I followed all the steps in this post http://3dxchat.com/support/#updates. When it starts patching, I can go from 280 to 283 with no issues and the patch downloading is very fast, but when it goes from 283 to 284, it fails and the download speed slows way down. I will attach a screenshot of the failed message I get when trying to go from 283 to 284. Any help would be appreciated. I mean no offense to anyone at 3DX, but it seems that the issue is on your end, seeing that I can download from 280 to 283 with no issues and then fail from 283 to 284.

First make sure your virus protection isn't blocking the patch, this seems to happen often. Just disable the protection and try running updater.

Can also try clean reinstall:

Uninstall the game

Open Registry Editor

Go to "HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/SexGameDevil"  right click folder called 3DXChat and delete it.

Close the Registry Editor

Reinstall the Game

Ya the same exact thing is happening to me and its really frustrating. I've tried everything uninstalling the game, registry clean with ccleaner, deleting  "HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/SexGameDevil" in the registry, deleting 3dxchat folders, disabling my virus protection, making sure my firewall is allowing the patcher and 3dxchat, ....disabling my firewall, uninstalling my virus protection .. :o .... lol....restoring my computer back before this happened... but every time I reinstall the game that 283 to 284 slows right down maybe i get to 2% then "error during update message". Someone throw another idea at me ...PLEASE!! I'm all out of them  :(

You can write to support and see if they can provide you with a installer that already contained the last update. I know they did it in the past. Not exactly a long term solution, but it might work.

I installed new drivers from Intel which made everything worse. Since then, I went to the Dell website and found the graphics drivers specifically for my Intel chips and re-installed them. Now, I can return to the site but there are still some major glitches.

Everything moves very slowly - as in 5-10 seconds after you click it. Plus, all the characters have black blotches all over their skin and clothes - as if they've all been changing the oil on the cars they don't have. The black blotches and slowness are also true on my laptop and I wrote it off to a weaker processor. Maybe it is a driver I still need to reinstall because the game played fine on the old interface.

Has anyone else encountered the blotchy clothes and very slow response times? It's not my processor. Thanks.

Well, I found the drivers for the desktop and, now, everything seems normal again. I also worked with the drivers on the laptop and it is improved. It's a 2006 Dell Latitude so it will probably never be okay but I've made the splotches almost disappear and the game play is improved.
