Baishun Posted March 6, 2015 Share Posted March 6, 2015 f you do disable invites, it is better to make the "DO NOT DISTURB" (DND) mode:- No receive request "hugs / kisses / slow dance" from others- No receive request "Partner"- No receive request "personal invite"- No receive request "public invite"- No receive request "private / group chat"- No receive request "friend"This mode does not apply to "friends list"In this mode (DND), the user can do everything mentioned above.DND button / indicator is always visible (red / green LED) I'm all for this, so long as each item that is blocked is toggleable. There are plenty of times I would like to receive PMs, Group Chat and other requests, and never a time when I want to receive Spam Invites such as the ones Bambii (sp?) was sending out every minute of every hour last weekend. So having a single button to toggle them all on or off, with no way to customize what is blocked when doing so or having an all or nothing option only, frankly solves nothing for me or for a lot of other people here. I'm not trying to be antisocial when I'm here, and that's exactly what your DND option is as described above. I would, however, like to quit gettng spammed with invites that take up 20% of my screen for each (cheap laptop; low res). I give spammers the benefit of the doubt, that maybe the posts were an unintended annoyance. I am new and did not know how I might have alerted the two highest offenders of their indiscretion. I actually thought there was a way to turn of the posts, and just being new did not know how. Please, if there is no mechanism, put building one on the priority "todo" list. AlphaKing Posted April 3, 2015 Share Posted April 3, 2015 Also, a very simple and easy way to get rid of spam invites is to allow one one User Room invite every 1/2 hr (or whatever block of time is deemed best). And in World chat, a user may not post the exact same message during that same time duration as well. If the system won't allow spam, it won't happen ... As simple as that. (invite for all at 750 xgolds) It is extremely annoying... we can decide to just click it off but they just pile up on the screen, and when 10 people decide to spam invite on same night, each about twice/minute, all evening... I end up like this.... Please give us an option to block the massive invites. Thank you Ps : I know this has been talked about several times over and over again Wouldn't take a lot to make a kind of fix for it by making a filtering options, where you could select between person 2 person, public(community) and friends invites cross on/off options in settings for instance.
