Guest Eclipse
Imagine a world without Monsters...We share a small world with Monsters, Monsters that fly planes into buildings and blow up trains and buses, Monsters that poisons its own people and Monsters that massacre without warning. Who are these Monsters? Where do these Monster come form? Why are these Monsters Hell bent on carrying out the most Evil acts one can imagine? How do you stop these Monsters? And how do you prevent new Monsters from being created?Everyday it seems that these Monsters are Devolving even further and that the light of hope dims more and more with each new horrific act. I may be naive (still), but I just have to believe that "there will be a day when all the Monsters will be gone". I just have to believe that... - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -Imagine (in English)- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -Imagine there's no heavenIt's easy if you tryNo hell below usAbove us only skyImagine all the peopleLiving for todayImagine there's no countriesIt isn't hard to doNothing to kill or die forAnd no religion tooImagine all the peopleLiving life in peaceYou may say I'm a dreamerBut I'm not the only oneI hope some day you'll join usAnd the world will be as oneImagine no possessionsI wonder if you canNo need for greed or hungerOur brotherhood of manImagine all the peopleSharing all the worldAnd the world will live as one- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -Imaginez (in French)- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -Imaginez , il ya pas de paradisIl est facile si vous essayezPas l'enfer en dessous de nousDessus de nous seulement le cielImaginez tous les gensVivre pour aujourd'huiImaginez , il ya pas de paysIl ne est pas difficile à faireRien à tuer ou mourir pourEt pas de religion tropImaginez tous les gensVivre la vie en paixVous pouvez dire que je suis un rêveurMais je ne suis pas le seulJe espère qu'un jour tu nous rejoindrasEt le monde sera aussi uneImaginez aucune possessionJe me demande si vous pouvezPas besoin de cupidité ou de la faimNotre fraternité de l'hommeImaginez tous les gensPartage de tout le mondeEt le monde vivra comme un- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -Stellen Sie sich vor (in German)- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -Stellen Sie sich vor es gibt keinen HimmelEs ist einfach, wenn Sie versuchen,Keine Hölle unter unsÜber uns nur HimmelStellen Sie sich all die Menschen,Leben für heuteStellen Sie sich vor es gibt keine LänderEs ist nicht schwer zu tun,Nichts zu töten oder zu sterben furUnd auch keine ReligionStellen Sie sich all die Menschen,Genieße das Leben in FriedenSie können sagen, ich bin ein TräumerAber ich bin nicht der einzige,Ich hoffe, eines Tages werden Sie sich uns anzuschließenUnd die Welt wird eins seinStellen Sie sich keinen BesitzIch frage mich, wenn du kannstKeine Notwendigkeit für Gier oder HungerUnsere Bruderschaft der MenschenStellen Sie sich all die Menschen,Teilen die ganze WeltUnd die Welt wird eins sein- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -Wyobraź sobie (in Polish)- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -Wyobraź sobie, że nie ma niebaTo łatwe , jeśli spróbujeszNie , do diabła pod namiPonad nami tylko nieboWyobraź sobie wszystkich ludziŻycie na dzisiajWyobraź sobie że nie ma krajówTo nie jest trudne do zrobieniaNic nie zabić lub umrzeć naI żadna religia nie zbytWyobraź sobie wszystkich ludziŻyjących życie w pokojuMożna powiedzieć, że jestem marzycielAle nie jestem jedynyMam nadzieję, że pewnego dnia dołączysz do nasA świat będzie jako jedenWyobraź sobie nie dobytekzastanawiam się, jeśli Ciebie mógłbyNie ma potrzeby chciwości czy głoduNasza braterstwo człowiekaWyobraź sobie wszystkich ludziDzielenie się cały światA świat będzie żył jako jeden- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -Представьте себе (in Russian)- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -Представьте себе, нет ни рая,Это легко, если вы попытаетесьНет , черт возьми ниже насНад нами только небоПредставьте, что все людиЖить сегодняшним днемПредставьте себе, нет ни в одной странеЭто не трудно сделатьНичто не убить или умереть ибоИ ни одна религия слишкомПредставьте, что все людиЖивите в миреВы говорите, что я мечтательНо я нетолько одинЯ надеюсь, что однажды вы присоединитесь к намИ, мир будет как однаПредставьте, ни имуществаИнтересно, если вы можетеНет необходимости в жадности или голодаНаше братство человекаПредставьте, что все людиОбмен весь мирИ,мир будет жить как одна Hope I translated your language properly...*hugs* and please watch the video Riki, cavalier, Nicci and 14 others
Loki
Of course the majority of people would want a world absent of hate and war and "monsters". But unfortunately, that's not how the world is, it is a gritty place where you must learn to survive. Sorry, but dreaming and wishing won't change anything. Working will win, when wishing won't.To change the world you need to roll up your sleeves and get on with it! Hi Loki, yes I agree everyone should work at peace...but, just surviving (at least for me) is not enough. It's not enough to take the world the way it is, I want to see change in my lifetime. Now in my own way, I try to be nice to everyone I meet, I try to defuse tense situations and while I wouldn't say I "wish" for peace I certainly "pray" for it. I am also trying to become much more knowledgeable about the world I live and the tensions within for a better understanding towards tolerance (two sides to every story kind of thing)... As for dreamers...I think we need them now more than ever. Where would we be without dreamers like Gandhi, Martin Luther King, John F. Kennedy, John Lennon, Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, etc..I wouldn't be dismissive of dreamers, I think they may be the answer. ~anyway peace and love Loki thanks for your feedback. milla, Riki, Tiptoe and 5 others

Dande
Well certainly interesting topic, first of dunno why you put Steve jobs amongst ghandi and marthin luther king, he was nothing else then a sales men but anyway. Peace is an idea utopian one at that and as all the ideas it is impossable in practice, those monsters you speak of are a product of other monsters to point out sme specific things, monters flying planes into buildings are born from monsters bombing their villages it's an endless circle of hate where every act of violance is responded by the same thing and it goes on and on. Might be sad for some people that humans are violent creatures, but it is reality , being peaceful is not in human nature very few people want equality for examplemost of them and i am among them want to surpass majority of the people and be better then them (call me selfish but i want to be on top) and just becouse i would be better of then someone, that would inspire hate towards me from someone who has less then me so yes, peace is just an idea Best,Dande. KC Riley
Hey, you don't have to be naive. It would actually be more naive to think that rates of violence are getting worse. They've been dropping for a long time. It's a huge part of the human story so far that we've striven for more and more peace and safety over time, and we've been successful at that so far. For example catching the leaders and right education. Peace,Deano Tokado and chaostika

Stewie
All wars in history have been started by religion or a religious aspect attached to them, look back as far as you like or as deep into history as you like come back and tell me different. These scumbag cowardly terrorists arent fighting a war. There hiding behind ski masks and AK47's. Until youve actually experienced war dont bang on about it and what it does to people unless youve actually experienced it you will never know. Your dreamers you mention above thats all they will ever be, they took their dreams to early graves because they spoke openly of them, then guess what another cowardly fanatic pops up with a sniper rifle. Unfortunately this is our world. Terrorists will always find a reason to kill innocent people, politicians will always find a reason to send their troops to war. milla
A very ancient mythology talks about the first man born of a woman. Gênesis 48 Now Cain said to his brother Abel, “Let’s go out to the field.”While they were in the field, Cain attacked his brother Abel and killed him. Obs .: John Lennon also had a violent death. I do not want to be pessimistic but I suspect that this ancient evil will always be part of our lives, I have no hope it to end. But I believe in fighting it!Always! The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing. Edmund Burke Yesterday I heard this song. I'd put in "What's the current/last song you listened to?" but I think it has more to do with this topic. She says not to forget..We can not forget too!The great talent of human to destruction! The USA did not need to use the atomic bomb to end the war, but he would not lose the opportunity to use his new weapon. The crimes and terrors caused in Asia by the Japanese invasion in the same war. That the innocent pay the highest price! We can not forget that all this can happen again! Callista
I’m one of mind with Loki on this one, monsters are as common to this world as humans, because… well they *are* humans, we can’t avoid them or wish them away any more than we can force ourselves not to breathe. Some people are afraid of spirits/aliens/etc, I’m afraid of what is going on the mind of the person staring at me. But hey, there is hope, where there is black there is white for there can be no negative without positive… no monsters without heroes. We only despise evil because we know good in comparison. chaostika, Yunala, Sentra and 1 other

chaostika
Just because its not at (y)our doorstep?! german translation|deutsche übersetzung Zwischen 1964 und 1973 regneten alle acht Minuten, Tag und Nacht, Bomben auf das kleine Land. Das Finden und Entschärfen der Sprengkörper ist ein Rennen gegen die Zeit: Bleibt es beim momentanen Räumtempo, so würde es 180 Jahre dauern, bis das Land endlich von seinem tödlichen Vermächtnis befreit ist. between 1964 and 1973, bombs rained every eight minutes, day and night on the small country laos. the US troops scattered more explosive than in all of world war II to the approximately 237,000 square kilometers of land. nowhere in the world more bombs fell as in laos per capita. laos has thus experienced a sad record: it is the land with the world's highest per capita density bombs. although laos officially remained neutral, crackled over 35 years ago during the vietnam war, countless american cluster or cluster bombs on the southeast asian country fell down. one third of these explosive device did not explode, and is still considered lethal legacy of war somewhere in the landscape. with the australian film "bomb harvest" director kim mordaunt and the screenwriter and producer sylvia wilczynski illustrate dramatically the threat that today, two generations later, these bombs still have: 30 percent of the weapons are a dud in the soil. in addition to the thousands of large bombs that were dropped during the approximately 580,000 operations, aid agencies estimate alone, the number of tennis ball-sized cluster bombs that failed to explode on impact, to nearly 80 million. children stumble on the way to school on unexploded bombs; farmers cultivate their fields under life-threatening. and others try their luck as scrap metal collectors / inside, to supplement their meager income. the find and defuse the explosive device is a race against time: at the current "clearing time", it would take 180 years until the country is finally freed from its deadly legacy. Bomb Harvest Documentary "The Secret War in Laos" part 1 of 4 Bomb Harvest Documentary "The Secret War in Laos" part 2 of 4 Bomb Harvest Documentary "The Secret War in Laos" part 3 of 4 Bomb Harvest Documentary "The Secret War in Laos" part 4 of 4 MAG(Mines Advisory Group) today, nine people will lose their lives or suffer serious injury because of landmines and other unexploded devices. together, MAG and you make land and lives safe and so help us, to clean up the mess from some 'monsters' of our past, thx! http://www.maginternational.org/ Nicci
